The fusing device includes at least one heat source to generate heat, a fusing belt disposed near the heat source, a rotation unit contacting an outer circumference of the fusing belt, at least one pressurization unit pressed toward the rotation unit such that a fusing nip is formed between the fusing belt and the rotation unit, a heat conductor contacting an inner surface of the fusing belt to conduct heat to the fusing nip, and an intermediate unit disposed between the pressurization unit and the heat conductor to prevent transmission of heat from the heat conductor to the pressurization unit.

Fusing device and image forming device comprising the same

A fusing device to reduce lubricant leakage, includes a fusing belt having a heat source placed therein, a pressure roller placed to apply pressure to an outer surface of the fusing belt, and a nip plate to support an inner surface of the fusing belt so as to define a fusing nip between the fusing belt and the pressure roller. The nip plate includes a stepped portion spaced apart from the inner surface of the fusing belt so as to define a space for accommodation of a lubricant applied to the inner surface of the fusing belt. The fusing device may further include a side frame to rotatably support a longitudinal end of the fusing belt. The side frame may be provided with a lubricant guide to guide the lubricant on the longitudinal end of the fusing belt toward the center of the fusing belt.

An image forming apparatus including a fusing belt, a pressure roller disposed to face the fusing belt so as to press a recording medium onto the fusing belt, a nip forming member to support an inner surface of the fusing belt so as to form a fusing nip along with the pressure roller, and a heat source disposed inside the fusing belt to simultaneously apply radiant heat to the fusing belt and the nip forming member. The nip forming member includes a hill portion, which is located to one side thereof farther downstream in a movement direction of the recording medium and protrudes toward the hill portion. The hill portion causes the recording medium, which has curled in a given direction, to be bent in an opposite direction immediately prior to exiting from between the nip forming member and the pressure roller, thereby reducing curling of the recording medium.

A fusing device and an image forming apparatus having the same. The fusing device can include a fusing belt, a heat source disposed in an interior of the fusing belt, a supporting member to support at least a portion of an inner peripheral surface of the fusing belt, a press member mounted while opposing the fusing belt to form a fusing nip, and a nip forming part formed with an opening portion to enable heat emitted from the heat source to be transferred to the fusing belt at a position corresponding to the fusing nip. The nip forming part can have at least one gap maintaining part to prevent change of a gap of the opening portion. The nip forming part is provided at the supporting member or a nip forming member mounted between the heat source and the supporting member. Accordingly, a temperature of the fusing belt can rise quickly by directly heating the fusing belt, and deterioration of fusing performance due to deformation of the nip forming member can be prevented.
