An apparatus for deep-frying food, comprising a vapour discharge channel ( ) communicating with an inner space ( ) and extending from an upper portion of said inner space. A cooling surface ( ), which is cooled in use, is provided for cooling vapours. Condensate that has deposited precipitated on the cooling surface ( ) can be collected in a collecting reservoir ( ), into which the vapour discharge channel ( ) opens. Fat contained in vapour being discharged deposits in a fat deposition area ( ) outside the cooling surface ( ). Since at least a portion of the fat deposition area ( ) communicates with the collecting reservoir ( ) for carrying fat that has deposited in the fat deposition area to the collecting reservoir along a path remote from the cooling surface ( ), and/or since the vapour discharge channel ( ) extends along a straight trajectory, the deposition of fat is made to occur in an area from which it can easily be removed.

Apparatus for deep-frying food comprising a reservoir for collecting vapor being discharged during the deep-frying process

An apparatus for deep-frying food, including a window ( ) of a transparent material which takes up at least a portion of a cover ( ) and which extends at least partially at an angle or vertically. A vapor discharge channel ( ) communicates with the inner space ( ) of the pan. A cooling surface ( ) is provided for cooling vapor, which cooling surface communicates with the inner space ( ) via the vapor discharge channel ( ). A storage reservoir ( ) is used for storing condensate that has precipitated on the cooling surface ( ), and a collecting gutter ( ) serves for collecting condensate that has precipitated on the window ( ). The collecting gutter ( ) extends along a bottom end of the window ( ) and includes a drain ( ), via which drain the collecting gutter ( ) communicates also with the vapor discharge channel ( ) for draining condensate to the vapor discharge channel ( ). Furthermore, a provision for signalling deep-frying activity in response to heating by hot vapor is described.

Apparatus for deep-frying food

The invention relates to a hair dryer/styler having a diffuser with elongated fingers. In order to obtain a comfortable contact between the fingers and the scalp and a better individual adaptation of the fingers to the scalp during use of the hair dryer/styler, the fingers are arranged, individually or in a number of small groups, on resilient means. Preferably, each finger is arranged on one resilient arm.

An instrument for styling hair comprises a housing (9), a carrier (10, 11) which is movable supported by the carrier (10, 11), elongate hair guides (12, 13, 14) which project from the carrier (10, 11), a passage (15) for allowing hot air to pass through, and an air guide (17) which is controllable so as to direct the air stream in dependence upon forces exerted on the hair guides (12, 13, 14). The passage (15) and the carrier (10, 11) are adapted to influence the discharge direction in dependence upon the position of the carrier (10, 11) with respect to the housing (9). As the air guide (17) and the carrier (10, 11) are constructed in such a manner that the effective passage area of the passage (15) remains substantially constant when the discharge direction is changed, the air output and the temperature of the emerging air changes hardly when the discharge direction is changed. The hair-style is better under control and less combing and brushing is necessary.

Instrument for styling hair

The invention relates to a hair drying and styling appliance for drying hair by means of hot air. The appliance comprises a hair styling unit (8) which has a convex wall portion (9) formed with a multitude of air discharge openings (10) and the surface of the convex wall portion (9) has been provided with a velvet-like or short-tufted material (14). The styling unit further has a plurality of styling pins (12) are arranged along a peripheral part (11) of the convex wall portion (9). By brushing over the hair with the velvet-like or short-tufted material of the convex wall portion, the hair becomes is given a glossy appearance.

Hair drying and styling appliance

An instrument for styling hair comprises a movable carrier, elongate hair guides which project from the carrier, and a passage for allowing hot air to pass through. The passage and the carrier being adapted to influence the discharge direction in dependence upon the position of the carrier in such a manner that a pivotal movement in a first direction of the carrier with the hair guides which project therefrom results in a change of the discharge direction through the passage in a substantially opposite second direction. During use this prevents hairs just released by the hair guides passing through the hair from being muddled up again. The hair-style is better under control and less combing and brushing is necessary.
