A wireless device (e.g., a user equipment (UE) or a network node) may receive a first configuration for transmitting at least one data transmission during a time period. The wireless device may receive a second configuration for transmitting a set of non-data service signals during the time period. The wireless device may transmit the at least one data transmission or the set of non-data service signals during the time period based on (1) the first configuration, (2) the second configuration, and (3) at least one of (a) a minimum threshold gap associated with the set of non-data service signals or (b) a set of parameters associated with the at least one data transmission.

Conflict resolution between data transmissions and non-data service signals

Perception-assisted wireless communication

Radio frequency sensing assisted wireless communication

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE), such as a UE associated with an extended reality (XR) device, may obtain frame data from one or more cameras associated with the UE. The UE may determine a path of a beam providing communication between the UE and a base station, determine a location of a base station in communication with the UE, or both, where the base station location may be relative to a location of the UE. The UE may identify, based on the frame data, the path of the beam, the base station location, the UE location, or a combination thereof, a physical blockage to the communication. The UE may perform beam management for the communication based on identifying the physical blockage, so as to mitigate the impact the physical blockage may have on the communications between the UE and the base station.

Techniques for identifying blockages between devices

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The method may include a user equipment (UE) generating a set of multimedia packets including a first multimedia packet and a second multimedia packet that is generated after the first multimedia packet. The UE may add the set of multimedia packets to a queue and apply an uplink packet handling protocol. Using the uplink packet handling protocol, the UE may discard the first multimedia packet and transmit, to a base station, the second multimedia packet. Using the second multimedia packet, a server in communication with the base station may generate a video frame and transmit the video frame to the UE via the base station.

Techniques for multimedia uplink packet handling

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications at a user equipment (UE) are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a downlink control information scheduling transmission of periodic multimedia traffic bursts to the UE with a first periodic cadence. The UE may receive control signaling from the UE indicating that the UE is to periodically transmit sounding reference signals to the base station according to a second cadence, which may be a multiple of the first periodic cadence. Additionally or alternatively, the UE may receive control signaling indicating that the UE is to transmit a sounding reference signal at a time associated with a beginning of at least one of the periodic multimedia traffic bursts. The UE may transmit one or more sounding reference signals to the base station in accordance with the control signaling.

This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus, and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for beam selection and codebook learning techniques based on XR perception information. A UE may receive sensor information indicative of a direction of a current serving beam relative to the UE. The UE may be configured to communicate with a base station based on a BPL associated with the direction of the current serving beam. The UE may perform a measurement for the base station and the UE to communicate over the BPL based on the sensor information indicating that the direction of the current serving beam relative to the UE is different from a previous serving beam direction relative to the UE.

Beam selection and codebook learning based on XR perception

This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support enhanced beam management using extended reality (XR) perception data. In a first aspect, a method of wireless communication includes establishing a communication connection between a user equipment (UE) and a serving base station using a current serving beam selected by the UE from a plurality of available beams paired with a serving base station beam. The method further includes obtaining, perception information from one or more extended reality sensors associated with the UE and determining, in response to detection of UE movement, a transpositional representation of the movement using the perception information. The UE may then select a new serving beam in accordance with the transpositional representation. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.
