A method for orchestrating resources in a multi-access edge computing (MEC) network is applied in and by an apparatus. The MEC network comprises at least one control node, substrate nodes and substrate links managed by the at least one control node. The apparatus receives a virtual network request and calculates whether a proper virtual network embedding solution for the virtual network request exists. If so, the apparatus hands the solution over to the at least one control node for implementation.

A method for establishing bearers in a wireless communication system is provided. The wireless communication system includes a user equipment (UE), a base station, a core network, and a mobile edge computing (MEC) entity. The method includes the following actions. A first bearer between the UE and the MEC entity is established. The first bearer transports at least one data flow. Whether the at least one data flow forms a feedback loop is determined. A second bearer between the UE and the MEC entity is configured when the at least one data flow forms the feedback loop.

Method and apparatus for establishing bearers in a wireless communication system

A configuration and measurement method for performing a full-duplex communication and a base station (BS) using the same is disclosed. In an embodiment, a base station selects a transmitting user equipment (UE) among one or more transmitting UEs and a receiving UE among one or more receiving UEs to form a transmit-receive (TX-RX) UE pair of one or more TX-RX UE pairs for performing the full-duplex communication, based on a first channel strength between the BS and the transmitting UE, a second channel strength between the BS and the receiving UE, and a third channel strength the transmitting UE and the receiving UE. And the BS transmits an informing message of the one or more TX-RX UE pairs for triggering the channel measurement and the information fed back.

Configuration and measurement method for performing a full-duplex communication and base station using the same

Disclosed is a connection management method for mobile device group, where the mobile device group includes a mobile device configured as a leader and a number of mobile devices configured as followers. The connection management method includes: in response to a measurement control from a first base station, the leader acquires signal quality measurement reports of all the mobile devices in the mobile device group corresponding to the first base station and a second base station, and signal quality measurement reports of all the followers in the mobile device group corresponding to the leader; the first base station determines whether to perform a handover according to the signal quality measurement reports received from the leader; and when the first base station determines to perform the handover, the first base station determines to perform a joint handover procedure or a half handover procedure according to the signal quality measurement reports.

A handover method is disclosed. The handover method includes receiving, by a first base station, MEC information from a MEC entity, performing, by the first base station, a handover decision based on the MEC information, and transmitting, by the first base station, a handover request to a second base station in response to the handover decision.

The disclosure is directed to a base station and a user equipment having on-demand signaling mechanism in directional wireless system. According to one of the exemplary embodiment, the present disclosure proposes a base station which includes at least but not limited to a transmitter and a receiver to transmit and receive data respectively and a processing circuit coupled to the transmitter and the receiver and is configured at least to receive through the receiver a service request to start an on-demand transmission, configure a control signaling to schedule a schedulable resource based on the service request in response to starting the on-demand transmission, and transmit through the transmitter the control signaling for triggering reference signals of an external base station to transmit the scheduled schedulable resource, wherein the reference signals are aperiodic and directional.

Base station and user equipment having on-demand signalling mechanism in directional wireless communication system

Enhanced paging mechanisms are proposed for Machine Type Communication (MTC) devices in 3GPP networks. First, adaptive paging is proposed to adaptively allocate extra paging occasions for MTC devices with no extra procedure or power consumption on normal UEs. Second, group paging is proposed to simultaneously page a plurality of MTC devices with one paging. Group paging is controlled in different levels for optimized signaling and easier management. In one embodiment, group broadcasting and group release are used. Third, paging with response policy is proposed to pre-define or dynamically configure paging response policies for MTC devices.

Enhanced paging mechanism for machine type communication

The disclosure is directed to a mobility management method in a macro-assisted communication system and related apparatuses using the same method. According to one of the exemplary embodiments, the disclosure is directed to a mobility management method applicable to a user equipment in a macro-assisted communication system. The method would include not limited to: measuring a beam quality of a first wireless connection; receiving a preamble in response to the beam quality being below a threshold; performing a beam search on a random access channel in response to receiving the preamble; transmitting a measurement report which comprises a result of the beam search; and receiving a handover information from the first wireless connection to a second wireless connection in response to transmitting the measurement report.

Mobility management method in macro-assisted system and related apparatuses using the same

In an embodiment, a base station (BS) receives one or more first data transmitting from at least one of one or more transmitting user equipments (UEs). The BS transmits a message including assistance parameters for performing a full-duplex data transmission, to at least one of one or more receiving UEs, wherein the parameters are associated with information of reducing an interference from the at least one of the transmitting UEs. And, the BS transmits one or more second data including the one or more first data to the at least one of the receiving UEs. Wherein, the receiving UEs and the transmitting UEs respectively include at least one of: one or more half-duplex UEs, one or more full-duplex UEs, or any combination of two or more of the half-duplex UEs and the full-duplex UEs.

Data transmission method for performing full-duplex communications and base station using the same

The disclosure is directed to a method of transmitting a reference signal and related electronic devices using the same. In one of the exemplary embodiments, the method would include not limited to transmitting a reference signal by using a directional antenna emitting a first radiation pattern of one or more beams covering degrees per one of N time slots during a first phase of a full sweeping period, wherein N&#x2265;2 and transmitting the reference signal, in response to transmitting the reference signal by using the directional antenna which has the first radiation pattern, by using the directional antenna emitting a second radiation pattern of multiple beams having different angles simultaneously covering a total of degrees of angles per one of M time slots during a second phase of the full sweeping period, wherein N&#x3e;M&#x2265;1.

Directional reference signal transmission

A method of performing a handover procedure for device-to-device (D2D) communications and a control node thereof are proposed. The method is applicable to a first control node serving a D2D communication between a first user equipment (UE) and a second UE. The method includes: determining that one of the first UE and the second UE needs to be handed over or both of the first UE and the second UE need to be handed over; transmitting a handover request to a second control node if the first control node determines that both of the first UE and the second UE need to be handed over to the second control node; receiving a handover request acknowledgement from the second control node; and transmitting a handover command to indicate the first UE and the second UE to detach from the first control node and synchronize to the second control node.

Method of performing handover procedure, making handover decision for device-to-device communications and control node thereof

A resource selection method and a wireless device are disclosed. The method includes: determining whether the wireless device is desired to broadcast a first scheduling assignment (SA) signal in an SA slot of an SA phase; if yes, selecting an SA broadcasting resource for broadcasting the first SA signal based on a first list and a second list recorded by the wireless device; if no, listening to all SA channels included in an SA channel resource pool, and removing a first SA channel from the first list after a second SA signal being carried on the first SA channel is listened to.

A method for relaying signal and a relay using the same are proposed. The method is applicable to a relay. The method includes: receiving a signal with power allocation from a source; demodulating the signal to extract a symbol; re-modulating the symbol to a re-modulated symbol; and transmitting the re-modulated symbol to a destination according to a specific delay.
