Provided is a projection device including a laser light source, a wavelength conversion element having wavelength and non-wavelength conversion regions, a diffuser element having first and second regions, a filter element, a beam splitting element, a first light valve, a second light valve, and a projection lens. During simultaneous rotation of the diffuser element and the wavelength conversion element, the first and second regions correspond respectively to the wavelength and non-wavelength conversion regions. The filter element is disposed in the first region, filtering out a laser beam emitted by the laser light source. The beam splitting element guides first and second sub-beams in a first beam passing through the first region of the diffuser element and the filter element respectively to the first and second light valves, and guides a second beam passing through the second region of the diffuser element to one of the first and second light valves.

Projection device with high color purity

An illumination system configured to provide an illumination beam is provided. At a timing for blue light, first blue light penetrates a light homogenizing element, so that the illumination system outputs blue light of the illumination beam. At a timing for green light, the first blue light is converted into first green light via a phosphor wheel and penetrates the light homogenizing element. At the same time, second blue light is converted into second green light via the phosphor wheel and penetrates the light homogenizing element, so that the illumination system outputs green light of the illumination beam. A projection device is also provided. According to the illumination system and the projection device provided herein, each light source may be effectively utilized.

Illumination system and projection device

The invention provides an illumination system and a projection device with the illumination system. The illumination system is configured to provide an illumination beam, and includes a coherent light source, a first and a second optical module, a first and a second diffuser element. A coherent beam emitted by the coherent light source is focused on a first position through the first optical module, and the first diffuser element is located at or near the first position. The coherent beam from the first diffuser element is focused on a second position through the second optical module. The second diffuser element is located on a transmission path of the coherent beam from the second optical module, and located at or near the second position. The coherent beam sequentially passes through the first diffuser element, the second optical module and the second diffuser element to form the illumination beam.

An illumination system and a projection device are provided. The illumination system includes multiple laser light source units, a light splitting element, a wavelength conversion module, and a filter module. The laser light source units include first and second laser light source units, respectively configured to provide first and second beams. The light splitting element is located on transmission paths of the first and second beams. When the wavelength conversion module rotates synchronously with the filter module, in a first period of time, the first beam is transmitted to the filter module via the light splitting element and then reflected to a wavelength conversion region via a first color filter region of the filter module, and the second beam is transmitted to the wavelength conversion region via the light splitting element. The first and second beams are converted to a converted beam, which is transmitted to the filter module.

An illumination system including a first excitation light source, a second excitation light source and a first diffusion element is provided. The first excitation light source emits a first excitation light beam, and the second excitation light source emits a second excitation light beam. The first and second excitation light beams have different colors. The first diffusion element is disposed on transmission paths of the first excitation light beam and the second excitation light beam, and the first diffusion element includes a first diffusion region and a second diffusion region with different diffusion degrees, wherein at least one of the first excitation light beam and the second excitation light beam sequentially passes through the first diffusion region and the second diffusion region. A projection apparatus is also provided. The illumination system of the invention effectively mitigates a speckle phenomenon of the excitation light beams to achieve a better optical efficiency.

Illumination system and projection apparatus

An illumination system and a projection device are provided. The illumination system includes a first light source, a second light source, and a diffusion element. The first light source is configured to emit a first beam, and the second light source is configured to emit a second beam. The first beam and the second beam have different colors. The diffusion element is disposed on transmission paths of the first beam and the second beam, and has a first diffusion region and a second diffusion region with different diffusion degrees. The first beam and the second beam pass through the diffusion element once, respectively, wherein the first beam passes through the first diffusion region, and the second beam passes through the second diffusion region. The illumination system and the projection device invention may effectively resolve a speckle issue of the beams.

A projection apparatus including a projection lens, a light valve module, and an illumination system optically coupled to produce an image beam is provided. The illumination system further includes a plurality of first laser source modules adapted to emit a plurality of first laser beams, and a diffusion component disposed on transmission paths of the plurality of first laser beams, such that the plurality of first laser beams form a plurality of light spots at a plurality of locations on the diffusion component.

Projection apparatus with illumination system having plurality of laser modules

Provided is an illumination system including an excitation light source, a first light splitting element, a first light reflecting element, a wavelength conversion device, and a light filtering device. The excitation light source provides an excitation beam including a first sub-beam and a second sub-beam. The first light splitting element includes a first zone and a second zone. The wavelength conversion device includes an optical zone and a wavelength conversion zone. In a first time period, the first sub-beam is transmitted to the optical zone via the first zone, and the second sub-beam is transmitted to the light filtering device via the first light splitting element and the first light reflecting element. In a second time period, the excitation beam is transmitted to the wavelength conversion zone to be converted into a first conversion beam. Therefore, the structure can be simplified and the size can be reduced.

Illumination system having wavelength conversion device and projection device having the same

A spotlight and a converging lens are provided. The converging lens has a light-emitting surface and a light incidence surface. An outer diameter of the converging lens is progressively decreased from the light-emitting surface toward the light incidence surface. The light-emitting surface has an opening. A maximum distance between the light incidence surface and the light-emitting surface along a thickness direction of the converging lens is H1, a maximum distance between a bottom surface of the opening and the light incidence surface along the thickness direction is H2, and 0.3&#xd7;H1&#x2264;H2&#x2264;0.5&#xd7;H1. The light incidence surface has at least one annular groove. The at least one annular groove has a central axis. The converging lens of the invention may converge light beam and mitigate a light spill phenomenon, and the spotlight applying the converging lens has good lighting quality.

Spotlight and converging lens

A light-source module includes an optical film and at least one light-source unit, which together enclose a space. The light-source unit includes a reflective assembly, a light-concentrating unit and at least one light-emitting assembly. The light-concentrating unit has a light exiting end and a light incidence end, and the light exiting end faces the space enclosed by the light-source unit and the optical film. The optical-axis direction of the light-emitting assembly is defined as a first direction, and the direction perpendicular to both the first direction and the optical film is defined as a second direction. The length of the light-concentrating unit in the first direction is defined as a light-concentrating distance, the width of the light exiting end in the second direction is defined as a light exiting width, and the ratio of the light-concentrating distance over the light exiting width is greater than 0.5 but less than 10.

Light-source module

A lens includes a central portion and a surrounding portion. The central portion has a first and a second optical surfaces. The surrounding portion surrounds the central portion and has an inner refraction wall and an outer refraction wall. The outer refraction wall includes a first and a second outer surfaces. A distance between the symmetry axis and a junction of the inner refraction wall and the first optical surface is a first radius R. A distance between the symmetry axis and a junction of the first outer surface and the second optical surface is a second radius R. A distance between the symmetry axis and a junction of the second outer surface and the first outer surface is a third radius R. The third radius Ris greater than the second radius R, and the second radius Ris greater than or equal to the first radius R

Lens and backlight module

A light source module includes at least one light bar, a reflector, and at least one bar-shaped reflection unit. The light bar includes light-emitting elements arranged along an extension direction. The reflector has at least one accommodation space accommodating the light bar and reflective convex surfaces located on two opposite sides of the light bar. The bar-shaped reflection unit is located above the light bar, extends along the extension direction, and has a reflection surface facing the light bar. A cross-sectional line obtained by cutting the reflection surface along an optical axis of any of the light-emitting elements and along a direction perpendicular to the extension direction includes a convex arc line protruding toward the light-emitting elements and two concave arc lines connected to two opposite sides of the convex arc line.

Light source module

A backlight module including a chamber, a bottom reflector, a plurality of light sources, and a plurality of lenses is provided. The chamber has a bottom surface and a side surface. The bottom reflector is disposed inside the chamber and located on the bottom surface. The light sources are disposed inside the chamber and located above the bottom reflector. Each light source is adjacent to the side surface and provides light. The lenses are disposed on a transmission path of the light. Each lens has a back surface, a cavity on the back surface, and a light-emitting surface. The cavity has a light-incident surface. Each light source is arranged corresponding to one of the lenses and adjacent to the cavity. The light, after passing the lenses, is divided into light beams with different propagating directions. The light beams irradiate the bottom reflector.

Backlight module

A light source module including an optical film, a bottom reflector, a top reflector, a light converging element, and a light emitting element is provided. The bottom reflector is located under the optical film. The top reflector and the light converging element are located at opposite sides of the optical film. The optical film, the bottom reflector, the top reflector, and the light converging element enclose a space. The light converging element has a first portion, a second portion, and a third portion. The light emitting element is disposed in the space and has an optical axis direction, where the third portion has a first surface facing the first portion, a first angle having a range of 5-10 degrees is included between the optical axis direction and a connection line between the light emitting element and one end of the first surface away from the light emitting element.

A light source module including an optical film and at least one light source unit is provided. The light source unit and the optical film enclose a space. The light source unit includes a reflecting device, at least one light bar, and a collimated unit. The reflecting device is disposed under the optical film. The light bar includes a plurality of light-emitting elements arranged along a third direction. The collimated unit extends along a direction parallel to the third direction and includes an upper reflective portion and a lower reflective portion. A shortest distance between one end of the lower reflective portion located adjacent to the reflecting device and the optical axis of the light-emitting elements along a second direction is defined as a first half light-emitting width, which is gradually increased along the third direction from a center portion of the collimated unit towards two sides thereof.
