A lens module testing method includes the following steps: providing a lens module having a lens and a barrel; determining whether a modulation transfer function value of the lens is in a predetermined range; if not, separating the lens and the barrel, and forming a first coating layer and a second coating layer on the lens to obtain a coated lens having a number of dots; capturing a first image of the coated lens; placing the coated lens in the barrel to obtain the lens module, and capturing a second image of the coated lens; randomly choosing one dot from the dots, and determining an actual moving distance of the chosen dot using a 3D-Digital Image Correlation according to the first image and the second image; adjusting a size of the lens according to the actual moving distance; and displaying the adjusted size of the lens to a user.

Lens module testing method

A lens assembly testing method includes: providing a lens assembly having a first lens and a second lens placed on the first lens; determining whether a modulation transfer function value of the lens assembly is in a predetermined range; if not, separating the first lens and the second lens, and forming a first coating layer and a second coating layer on the first lens to obtain a coated first lens with a number of dots; capturing two images of the coated first lens; attaching the coated first lens on the second lens, and capturing another two images of the coated first lens; determining an actual moving distance of a chosen dot using a 3D-Digital image correlation method according to the four images; adjusting a size of the first lens according to the actual moving distance; and displaying the adjusted size of the first lens to a user.

Lens assembly testing method

A position adjusting device includes a support frame, two adjusting assemblies, and two distance detecting mechanisms. The support frame has a first assembly portion and a second assembly portion substantially parallel to the first assembly portion. The adjusting assemblies are slidably positioned on the second assembly portion. The distance detecting mechanisms are slidably positioned on the first assembly portion, and each of the two distance detecting mechanisms is connected to one adjusting assembly.

A mold core positioning device configured to position a mold core includes a base and a sleeve assembly. The base defines a receiving space. The sleeve assembly includes a hollow sleeve and a number of balls. A number of receiving holes are defined in a sidewall of the sleeve, and each of the receiving holes holds one of the balls, and each of the balls can rotate freely in a corresponding receiving hole. The sleeve is received in the receiving space, and the balls received in the sleeve is to hold the mold core in position with the balls contacting the mold core.

Mold core positioning device

A method for making a mold core for molding lenses of optical fiber connector, is provided. The method includes: providing a first fixture and a mold block, the first fixture defining a first cavity therein, a center of the first fixture located within the first cavity and deviated from a center of the first cavity; providing a lathe comprising a rotatable spindle and a drill bit aligning with the rotatable spindle; installing the blank in the first cavity of the first fixture, and mounting the first fixture to the spindle; machining a first mold cavity in the blank using the drill bit; reinstalling the blank in the first cavity by revolving the blank 180 degrees; and machining a second mold cavity in the blank using the drill bit, thereby obtaining a mold core having the first and the second mold cavities.

Method for making mold core

An apparatus comprises a suction device and two positioning members. The suction device comprises a suction body and a suction nozzle. The suction body is in communication with the suction nozzle and is configured for providing a pressure below atmospheric pressure to make the suction nozzle picking up the optical element. The two positioning members movably mounted on two opposite sides of the suction body and are configured for moving towards each other to move the optical element picked up by the suction nozzle to a predetermined fixed position relative to the suction device.

Apparatus for picking up optical element

A precision machine includes a base having an outer wall, a cutting tool for machining a workpiece mounted on the base, a fixing member detachably located on the outer wall, a first connecting member having a first end and a second end and an imaging system. The first connecting member is capable of maintaining a shape after adjustment thereto by application of an external force, and the first end of the first connecting member is fixed to the fixing member. The imaging system is attached to the second end of the first connecting member such that a position of the imaging system relative to the tool can be adjusted by changing shape of the connecting member.

A jig for holding a core which comprises a movable platform, a base positioned on the movable platform which has a receiving hole, and an inserter positioned inside the receiving hole of the base, shaped corresponding to the shape of the receiving hole, to fasten the core to the inserter. The inserter comprises a core receiving hole, a plurality of positioning recesses disposed symmetrically in the periphery of the core receiving hole, a plurality of positioning blocks received in the positioning recesses, and a plurality of resilient elements received in a space between the positioning recesses and the positioning blocks to hold the core firmly.

Jig for holding a core and method utilizing the same

A machine includes a spindle for rotating about a rotating axis, a fixture having a central axis coaxial with the rotating axis, a connecting bar and a vacuum pump. The spindle has a first end surface, an opposite second end surface and a plurality of through holes extending through the first and second end surfaces. The connecting bar is detachably interconnected between the fixture and the spindle. The fixture is configured for rotating jointly with the spindle. The vacuum pump is in communication with the through holes.
