Techniques are described herein that are capable of registering a user device with a cloud-based management service using an intermediate cloud storage. For instance, the intermediate cloud storage may store an encrypted data blob including information that identifies the user device. The intermediate cloud storage or a registration system may decrypt the encrypted data blob so that the registration system may use the decrypted data blob to register the user device with the cloud-based management service. For instance, the registration system may retrieve the encrypted or decrypted data blob from the intermediate cloud storage by providing a requisite secret to the intermediate cloud storage. The requisite secret may be provided to the registration system by the user device (e.g., via a matrix barcode, such as a QR code).

This document relates to a process for deploying devices and automatically provisioning the devices to connect to a managed network upon powering on with minimal user involvement. Upon deployment of the device to an end point, a record can be established in a management server regarding the device, which can associate device specifications with a deployment profile to be used in provisioning the device. Upon powering on of the device at the end point, the device can automatically perform attestation with the management server, which can then provision the device according to the deployment profile without additional user intervention.

Described herein is a system and method for transforming contextually relevant items. A search query is received, and, for each of a plurality of electronically stored items (e.g., stored in a source platform), a probability that the stored item is relevant to the search query is calculated using a classification model. Stored items having a calculated probability greater than or equal to a threshold probability are identified. Contextually relevant portions of the identified stored items is determined using a contextual model. The determined contextually relevant portions of the identified stored items are extracted. The extracted contextually relevant portions of the identified stored items are transformed into a target platform. An output of the extracted contextually relevant portions of the identified stored items in the target platform is provided.

Examples described herein generally relate to device analytics. Specifically, the present disclosure provides resource deployment at an organization including one or more devices. The present disclosure provides for receiving telemetry data from the one or more devices associated with the organization. The present disclosure further provides for generating a set of deployment rings for the deployment of the software resource at the one or more devices of the organization. Additionally, the present disclosure provides for deploying the software resource within the organization based on the set of deployment rings.

Translators are provided that enable automated and remote device configurations in an efficient and abstract manner. In one aspect, a device configuration system is provided. A configuration component stores one or more remote configuration trees for various devices. A translator component maps the remote configuration trees to at least one device configuration tree associated with the respective devices to enable device configuration in an automated manner.

On-the-fly device configuration and management

Installing software using the configuration manager so that the rollback and security features of the configuration manager may be used during the installation process. A mobile computing device accesses files that are to be installed on the mobile computing device, and well as computer-executable instructions that define how the files are to be installed on the mobile computing device. The configuration manager then causes the computer-executable instructions to be executed (e.g., using configuration service providers), and causes a mirroring rollback document to be constructed. If the installation fails, the installation process is reversed by executing the rollback document. The configuration manager may also be used to implement security when executing the installation instructions by checking to determine whether or not execution of each installation instruction is authorized.
