Techniques for proving haptic feedback in computing systems are described. In operation, an input representing utilisation parameters of an electronic pen is received. In an example, the electronic pen may be electronically coupled to the computing system. Based on the received utilisation parameters, the computing system provides a pattern of haptic feedback to the user.

In some examples, an electronic device includes an image sensor to capture a source image. In some examples, the electronic device includes a processor to determine, in the source image, a first region that depicts a first person and a second region that depicts a second person. In some examples, the processor is to, in response to determining that the first person is further away than the second person relative to the image sensor based on the first region and the second region, generate a first focus cell that depicts the first person alone. In some examples, the processor is to generate a macro view of the source image that depicts the first person and the second person. In some examples, the processor is to instruct display of a compound image including the macro view and the first focus cell.

An example non-transitory machine-readable storage medium includes instructions to, when executed by the processor, identify an object depicted in a video scene, wherein the video scene is displayed in a graphical user interface (GUI). The example instructions are executable to 1) identify coordinates of the object depicted in the video scene, wherein the coordinates are relative to the GUI and 2) identify coordinates of an inset window which is smaller than the GUI and overlaps the video scene. The example instructions are executable to compare the coordinates of the object with the coordinates of the inset window to determine an overlap of the inset window with the object. Responsive to an identified overlap of the inset window and the object, the instructions are executable to alter a display characteristic of the inset window to avoid the overlap of the inset window with the object.

An example computing device includes: a display to display a color calibration pattern; a touchpad to receive input for the computing device, the touchpad having a reflective layer to reflect the color calibration pattern; a color sensor to detect the reflected color calibration pattern from the touchpad; a processor interconnected with the color sensor and the display, the processor to calibrate a color output of the display based on the color calibration pattern detected at the color sensor.

The present subject matter relates to self-healing keyboards. In an example implementation, a self-healing keyboard of an electronic device comprises a self-healing film having a self-healing layer disposed over a keyboard. The self-healing layer is composed of polyurethane, epoxy vinyl ester, epoxy, polyurethane microcapsules filled with silane compound, and a polysiloxane mixture.

In one example, a keyboard device may include a base plate, a pivoting support fixedly disposed on the base plate and having a recess portion, a key cap support having a shaft portion rotatably received in the recess portion, a rolling element disposed between the shaft portion and the pivoting support, and a key cap assembled to the key cap support.

A data transmission system and a data transmission method are disclosed. The data transmission system includes a cloud server, an edge computing device, and a gateway. The cloud server includes a schema database which stores a transmission address corresponding to a target schema. The edge computing device transmits a data receiving request message related to the target schema to the cloud server. The cloud server transmits the transmission address to the edge computing device after receiving the data receiving request message. After receiving the transmission address, the edge computing device receives at least one data value corresponding to at least one label of the target schema from the gateway according to the transmission address, and generates a target data corresponding to the target schema according to the at least one label and the at least one data value.

In one example, touchpad assembly is disclosed, which may include a bottom cover, a horizontal elastic member flexibly positioned on the bottom cover, a balancing bar disposed on the bottom cover and substantially parallel to the horizontal elastic member, and a metal dome. The metal dome may include a first end fixedly connected to the bottom cover via a first fixture, and a second end to hold the horizontal elastic member and the balancing bar such that the balancing bar is flexibly engaged with the bottom cover. The balancing bar, the metal dome, and the horizontal elastic member may control a flexure of a touchpad when the touchpad is pressed.

A connector assembly has a plug and socket; the plug includes an insulative body, at least one first power contact, at least one second power contact and a metal shield. The insulative body has a base portion and a tongue portion extending from the base portion. The tongue portion includes a plurality of power contact grooves and penetrates through the base portion, and at least one first convex portion defined in a periphery of the tongue portion. The first power contact and the second power contact are respectively formed on the power contact grooves of the insulative body for connection to a power source in a socket of host device. The metal shield encloses the tongue portion of the insulative body to cover the tongue portion. Consequently, the charging speed can be increased, reducing charging time.

A power-managing key apparatus uses a power key to integrate the function of ACPI management of computer hardware and hibernation on/off of operation system. A processor coupled to the power key detects pressing-time parameters of the power key and a current state of the computer. The processor sends a hardware signal to emulate ACPI power button function in order to power on/off computer and awake the computer from a power saving mode. The processor sends a software signal to an operation system of the computer to disable/enable a hibernation state. Therefore, the complicated power management performed by computer hardware and operation system can be simplified.

Method and apparatus for integrating ACPI functionality and power button functionality into a single power key

The present invention relates to a method of establishing a customized webpage desktop applied in an information apparatus. After an operating system is enabled, a shell program is initialized, and a browser is called to register the browser as a desktop format, and to cause the browser to display information on the corresponding desktop area of the information apparatus. A webpage file is read from a specific directory according to a path pointed to by the shell program. The webpage file has local application links. The browser reads the webpage file and displays the webpage file in the desktop format in the desktop area of the information apparatus to form the customized webpage desktop.

A method of implementing a plurality of system tray areas is disclosed, wherein each system tray area is defined with a particular size and used for displaying a plurality of registered icons to enable a user to select one icon to execute a corresponding system tray function, a first system tray area having a size that is larger than the size of a second system tray area. The method includes: initiating installation of an operating system in a computer system, wherein the computer system has a shell program, the shell program being used for interpreting and executing a command given from a user of the operating system; calling the shell program; and executing the shell program to enable a display of the computer system to display at least two system tray areas.

An electromagnetic interference diminishing structure of a connector assembly. The connector assembly includes a socket and a plug. The socket includes a main body enclosed by a metal housing connected to the grounding circuit of a circuit board. The plug includes a shield metal housing formed with grounding sections. A terminal main body is inserted in the shield metal housing. An insulating housing is fitted around the shield metal housing. When a front section of the plug is plugged into the socket, the metal housing of the socket and the grounding sections of the shield metal housing of the plug contact with each other through the holes of the insulating housing of the plug. Accordingly, the electromagnetic interference can be effectively diminished.
