A data protection device includes a basic input output system chip and a main control chip. The basic input output system chip stores basic input output system program and includes a write protection pin and a plurality of status registers. The main control chip includes a plurality of general purpose input output pins. One general purpose input output pin is electrically connected to the write protection pin of the basic input output system chip, the voltage level of the general purpose input output pin is controlled by performing different command programs of the basic input output system program, and the status registers and the basic input output system chip are selectable to be in a write protection mode or a writable mode under the control of the voltage level of the write protection pin of the basic input output system chip.

An exemplary CPU frequency regulating circuit includes a detecting circuit, and a comparing circuit. The detecting circuit receives a PWM signal from a super I/O chipset, and converts the PWM signal to a load voltage responsive to a workload of a CPU. The comparing circuit is coupled to the detecting circuit for receiving the load voltage, and compares the load voltage with a reference voltage, and adjusts a frequency of the CPU according to a result of the comparison.

A method for adjusting execution frequency of a central processing unit (CPU) in an electronic apparatus is provided. The method includes the steps of: (a) obtaining a state of a CPU workload in real time; (b) checking a property frequency and an execution frequency of the CPU; (c) determining whether the state of the CPU workload is in a higher state or a normal state; (d) determining whether the execution frequency of the CPU needs to be changed according to the state of the CPU workload; (e) calculating a frequency value according to the property frequency and the execution frequency, if the execution frequency of the CPU needs to be changed; (f) generating a suitable frequency according to the frequency value; and (g) adjusting the execution frequency of the CPU according to the suitable frequency. A related system is also disclosed.
