A car seat and base with a locking mechanism are disclosed, in which the locking mechanism is mounted on the base, and a release mechanism is mounted on the car seat. The locking mechanism comprises a hooking element can be rotated to a locked position for retaining the car seat to the base, and to a release position to release the car seat from the base. The release mechanism comprises a release actuator and a plectrum follower. The release actuator is operatively mounted on the car seat, and the plectrum follower is associated with the release actuator for rotating the hooking element from the locked position to the release position, so as to permitting a user to release the car seat from the base by operating of the release actuator.

Car seat and base with a locking mechanism

A car seat base with a lock position indicator mechanism, includes at least two locking units, an indicating unit and an associating unit. The locking units are mounted inside the base, each has a locked position for locking a car seat thereupon, and an unlocked position that permits the car seat to be released from the base. The indicating unit provides a first color area and a second color area for indicating the positions of the locking units. The associating unit is associated between the locking units and the indicating unit; when all of the locking units have been moved to the locked position, the associating unit associates the indicating unit to reveal the first color area; and when one of the locking unit is failed to move to the locked position, the associating unit associates the indicating unit to reveal the second color area.

A warning device for a car seat base includes a car seat base, a support leg and a color signal revealing mechanism. The car seat base is capable of mounting on a vehicle seat and provided with a support face for supporting a car seat thereupon and a signal window for showing signals by colors. The support leg is movably and rotably mounted to the car seat base. Once the length of the support leg is not yet good enough to abut the car seat base, or someday the lock means of the support leg is failed, the weight of the support leg would carry itself moving downward, by this way to cause the signal element to reveal a warning signal from signal window to the user.

A car seat base with a self-keeping lock mechanism for releasably locking a car seat rested thereon. The car seat has a pair of rods fixed at its underside, and the self-keeping lock mechanism is characterized by including at least a front hook element and a rear hook element and at least a front positioner and a rear positioner. The front hook element and the rear hook element are spaced apart from each other and pivoted inside the car seat base for locking the rods in a closed position, and releasing the rod in an opened position; the front positioner and the rear positioner are pivoted near the hook elements for keeping the hook elements in the opened position before the rods being entered into and caught by the hook elements, and may keep the hook elements in the closed position when the rods have been locked by the hook elements.

An adjustment mechanism for positioning a headrest in an infant car seat includes a connector, a pair of gear wheels, a ratchet wheel and a brake release handle. The adjustment mechanism is installed on the back support portion of the infant car seat which formed with a longitudinal slot and a pair of toothed guiding rails mounted in parallel on either side of the longitudinal slot. The headrest is movably connected to the back support portion by the connector to move along the longitudinal slot. The pair of gear wheels and a ratchet wheel are pivoted on the connector, the pair of gear wheels being engaged with the pair of toothed guiding rails and kept synchronized rotation with the ratchet wheel. The brake release handle is biased to releasably lock the ratchet wheel and used to unlock the ratchet wheel so as to reposition the headrest.

Adjustment mechanism for positioning a headrest in an infant car seat

A baby stroller frame comprises a front frame, a pair of rear leg tube, and a guiding frame. The front frame connects a front wheel. The pair of rear leg tube, each has an upper end pivotally connected with the front frame, a lower end connected a rear wheel, and a joint connected with a sliding sleeve. The guiding frame has a front end pivotally connected to the front frame, and a pair of connecting arms slidably connected with the sliding sleeve. By simply rotating of the guiding frame, the sliding sleeve would carry the pair of rear leg tubes to rotate and close to the front frame. As the structure of such a stroller frame is being simplified, it would much lower the manufacture cost of a baby stroller frame and provide a new and smooth operation for a user.

A collapsible stroller frame capable of being either collapsed or expanded with a rod set, wherein a slide sleeve is located at a front supporter of the stroller frame and a foldable supporter is pivotally connected between the front supporter and a rear supporter. A link rod connects the slide sleeve and the foldable supporter, and is pivotally connected between the front and rear supporter. The foldable supporter includes a front folding tube and a rear folding tube, pivotally connected to each other. A user can operate the foldable supporter to shorten the distance between the front and rear folding tubes, by disengaging the slide sleeve from the frame, thereby facilitating assembly and folding of the stroller.

The collapsible stroller uses a rear support bracket of a canvas bracket set as the main folding structure. The support bracket is fixedly connected to a rear rim section of the canopy and has two ends connecting to one end of a linkage member to drive the linkage member to fold the stroller frame. The stroller of the invention can be folded single-handedly to prevent accidental collapsing of the stroller while the stroller is moved and to avoid incidental risks.

A structure for coupling a safety car seat or a stroller seat with a stroller to allow users to use two hands to grasp two sides of the safety car seat or stroller seat and to press a pushbutton adjacent to the palm to release a latch mechanism located below the seat without other people's help. The latch mechanism includes a pushbutton and a latch block. The pushbutton is located beside the handles at two sides of the safety car seat or stroller seat so that a user may grasp two sides of the stroller seat and press the pushbuttons and transmit the pressing force through a transmission mechanism to the latch block and to turn the latch block to release the seat.

A handlebar joint, comprises a disc seat, a rotating disc and a clutch disposed between both of them and having flexible element that passes through a handlebar. In a normal coupling position, the two end of the clutch is coupled to the disc seat and the rotating disc so as to keep the handlebar relatively unmoved; and in the releasing position, the clutch does not couple with the disc seat, therefore, the handlebar can be bent. Also, in the coupling position, when the movements of the flexible element are executed, the clutch can be rotated to drive the deflectable element, so the movements cannot be influenced when the handlebar is bent.

A collapsible stroller is movable between a collapsed position for storage and an operating position for transporting the passenger. The frame of the stroller comprises armrests, front leg tubes, rear leg tubes, and handles. In comparison with prior art there is no additional linkage provided by the invention. Also, latch as well as associated linkages and hinges are eliminated. In addition, the collapsing force is suitably transmitted to each component of the frame. Moreover, the handle is remained on top of the frame after collapsed, thus facilitating the future unfolding operation of the stroller.

A highchair has a horizontally adjustable tray. It includes: (a) a pair of supports on opposed sides of the highchair each having a plurality of studs on an inside surface thereof; (b) a tray movably coupled between the supports including two underlying engagement members, each of the apertures having an elastic projection projected above the aperture; and (c) an actuator slidably attached to an undersurface of the tray including two vertical members each having a plurality of wedge members corresponding in position to the apertures of the engagement member and one or more elastic elements each having one end biased against the undersurface of the tray and the other end biased against the actuator. The projected elastic projections are structured to restrict the movements of the wedge members so as to effect the locking of the actuator to the tray, and the wedge members are structured to be able to move pass the retracted elastic projections to effect a disengagement of the actuator from the tray. In one embodiment, each of the supports also includes a tube disposed on a leg of the highchair and a plurality of studs releasably coupled to the highchair.
