An aqueous lithium-ion battery and an electrode used therein are provided, wherein the electrode includes a current collector, a coating layer, and a composite layer. The coating layer is disposed on at least one surface of the current collector, and the coating layer contains an active material. The composite layer is disposed on a surface of the coating layer. The composite layer includes a first film and a second film, wherein the first film is between the second film and the surface of the coating layer, and the water contact angle of the first film is greater than the water contact angle of the second film.

Aqueous lithium-ion battery, electrode used therein, and electrode manufacturing method

A Ni&#x2014;Mn composite oxalate powder is provided. The Ni&#x2014;Mn composite oxalate powder includes a plurality of biwedge octahedron particles represented by the general formula: NiMnCoMCO.nHO, wherein q+x+y+z=1, 0&#x3c;q, x&#x3c;1, 0&#x2266;y&#x3c;1, 0&#x2266;z&#x3c;0.15, 0&#x2266;n&#x2266;5, and M is at least one of Mg, Sr, Ba, Cd, Zn, Al, Ga, B, Zr, Ti, Ca, Ce, Y, Nb, Cr, Fe and V. The above powder may be further calcined with a lithium salt to form a lithium transition metal oxide powder for use as a positive electrode material in lithium ion-batteries.

Ni&#x2014;Mn composite oxalate powder, lithium transition metal composite oxide powder and lithium ion secondary battery

The disclosure provides a Ni&#x2014;Mn composite oxalate powder, including a plurality of biwedge octahedron particles represented by the general formula: NiMnCoMCO.nHO, wherein q+x+y+z=1, 0&#x3c;q, x&#x3c;1, 0&#x2266;y&#x3c;1, 0&#x2266;z&#x3c;0.15, 0&#x2266;n&#x2266;5, and M is at least one of Mg, Sr, Ba, Cd, Zn, Al, Ga, B, Zr, Ti, Ca, Ce, Y, Nb, Cr, Fe and V. The invention provides a lithium battery, including: a cathode plate and an anode plate; a separator disposed between the cathode plate and the anode plate to define a reservoir region; and an electrolyte filled in the reservoir region. A thermal protective film is provided to cover a material of the cathode plate or the anode plate. When a battery temperature rises over an onset temperature of the thermal protective film, it undergoes a crosslinking reaction to inhibit thermal runaway. A method for fabricating the lithium ion battery is also provided.

Method for modifying cathode material and lithium battery employing the cathode material

A lithium battery is provided. The lithium battery comprises a first plate, a second plate and a separator. The first plate is composed of a plurality of electrode material layers stacked on one another. At least one of the electrode material layers comprises a thermal activation material. The separator is disposed between the first plate and the second plate.

Lithium battery and electrode plate structure

A lithium ion secondary battery includes LiFePOas a major component of the positive electrode active material. In order to implement the high rate capability with 10 C/1 C rate larger than 80%, the invention designs a positive electrode on a current collector with a ratio (A/t) of coating area to coating thickness greater than 1.2&#xd7;10(mm) and uses more than one tab on the current collector. The design of the invention can be applied to other active materials with low conductivity as the positive electrode for lithium ion battery.

High rate capability design of lithium ion secondary battery

Disclosed is a lithium battery including a silicon negative electrode, a lithium mixed metal oxide positive electrode, a separator disposed between the negative and positive electrodes to define a reservoir region, an electrolytic solution filled in the reservoir region, and a sealant structure wrapped around the silicon negative electrode, the lithium mixed metal oxide positive electrode, the separator, and the electrolytic solution. The electrolytic solution includes an organic solvent, a lithium salt, and an additive. The additive includes a maleimide compound and vinylene carbonate. The silicon negative electrode of the lithium battery employing the described electrolytic solution has higher cycle efficiency and longer operating lifespan.
