Systems and methods for lighting control are disclosed. The system may include at least one lighting device providing illumination and a handheld unit coupled with the lighting device to control at least one of a controllable lighting state, a controllable lighting intensity, and a controllable lighting effect of the lighting device. The handheld unit may include an image-capturing device and a processor coupled with the image-capturing device. The processor may be configured to control the image-capturing device to capture an image of a space affected by the lighting device; analyze an luminance level of the space; receive a lighting parameter; and provide a command to the lighting device for controlling at least one of the controllable lighting state, the controllable lighting intensity, and the controllable lighting effect of the lighting device based on at least one of the image, the luminance level, and the lighting parameter.

Lighting control systems and methods

A 3D displaying device includes a first panel, a second panel and a backlight unit. The first panel includes a first liquid crystal layer for providing a left-eye image and a right-eye image. The second panel includes a first driving electrode substrate, a second driving electrode substrate and a second liquid crystal layer disposed between the first driving electrode substrate and the second driving electrode substrate, whereby light passing therethrough to generate polarization of a first angle or a second angle, wherein the second panel includes at least three sub-panel units. The backlight unit is disposed below the first panel and includes at least three light-emitting areas respectively corresponding to the at least three sub-panel units for providing a light source to the first panel and the second panel.

Method, device and system for displaying three-dimensional stereo images

A light source driving device configured to drive a light-emitting unit is provided. The light source driving device includes a direct voltage source, a first capacitance unit, and a switching current adjustment circuit. The direct voltage source is coupled with the light-emitting unit and supplies a direct voltage. The first capacitance unit and the light-emitting unit are connected in parallel. The switching current adjustment circuit and the light-emitting unit are connected in series. The switching current adjustment circuit is configured to bear a part of a voltage stress of the direct voltage source and is configured to switch the direct voltage.

Light source driving device including a switching current adjustment circuit

A display includes a gravity sensor, a timing controller, a backlight module, a first liquid crystal panel, a liquid crystal driver, and a second liquid crystal panel. The gravity sensor generates a direction signal. The timing controller receives a three-dimensional image, outputs a left eye image and a right eye image of the three-dimensional image in turn, outputs a control signal, and outputs a backlight control signal. The backlight module turns on a backlight. The first liquid crystal panel receives and displays the left eye image and the right eye image of the three-dimensional image. The liquid crystal driver receives the control signal and the direction signal, and outputs a voltage control signal. The second liquid crystal panel rotates liquid crystals within the second liquid crystal panel according to the voltage control signal.

A driving system of a display panel and a driving method thereof are provided, in which the display panel includes a plurality of pixel units, and the driving system includes a timing controller and a voltage generator. The timing controller is used for detecting data values of the pixel units, and calculating difference values between the data values of every two pixel units, in which the calculated pixel units are in successive rows. The timing controller obtains an aggregation value of absolute values of the difference values, and then provides a related control signal to the voltage generator according to whether the aggregation value reaches a threshold value. The voltage generator provides a common voltage or provides a compensation voltage to a common electrode according to content of the control signal.

Driving system of display panel having a circuit of a voltage generator and driving method thereof

A display device including a first voltage generator, a second voltage generator, a timing controller, a level shifter and a display panel is provided. The first voltage generator is configured to generate a gate high voltage. During a first period, the gate high voltage is a first voltage. After the first period, the gate high voltage is a second voltage. The first voltage is higher than the second voltage. The second voltage generator is configured to generate a gate low voltage. According to the gate high voltage and the gate low voltage, the level shifter shifts the voltage levels of the start signal, the clock signal and the inverse signal produced by the timing controller for driving a plurality of shift registers disposed on a substrate of the display panel. The shift registers is configured to output scanning signals in sequence.

Display device capable of switching gate high voltage

The present invention discloses a method for driving thin film transistor liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) and the storage medium for storing computer program representative of the method thereof. The method utilizes a timing controller to send polarity control signals to a plurality of source drivers in a TFT-LCD panel for changing the polarity distribution of the liquid crystal molecules in the panel. The method is characterized by dynamically changing the positions of polarity inversion for alleviating the problem of undercharging under high resolution and high frequency conditions; utilizing both polar and reverse polar driving signals for solving the problem of color shift in 'checker board' checking signals; and providing a mechanism for mending the problem of undercharging of the first horizontal line.

Method for driving liquid crystal display and non-transitory storage medium thereof

A lighting system, a dimming control apparatus, and a dimming control method are provided. The dimming control apparatus includes a control unit and a dimming driving unit. In response to a dimming command and a number, the control unit decodes the dimming command into a plurality of sub-dimming commands. The dimming driving unit has a plurality of output terminals for coupling to a plurality of lamp modules. According to the sub-dimming commands, the control unit controls the dimming driving unit to output a plurality of dimming driving signals corresponding to the lamp modules to adjust the brightness of each lamp module individually.

Lighting system, dimming control apparatus and dimming control method

A method and an apparatus for over-driving a liquid crystal display (LCD) are provided, which are suitable for compensating a gray level brightness of the LCD. The method includes the following steps. Firstly, a data buffer unit outputs a current frame data. Then, the current frame data is stored into a frame memory unit, and the frame memory unit outputs a previous frame data. Next, several look-up tables (LUTs) are searched for a driving voltage in a corresponding LUT according to the current frame data and the previous frame data. Afterward, a position scanning unit receives the current frame data to determine a current position. Finally, a multiplexer outputs the corresponding driving voltage at the current position. Thus, a display panel has the same gray level brightness in upper, middle, and lower portions thereof, thereby avoiding ghosting.

Method and apparatus for over-driving liquid crystal display

A display device and a display controlling module are provided. The display controlling module includes a data analyzing unit, an interference data storage unit and a data adjustment unit. The data analyzing unit receives a plurality of display data of a corresponding frame, analyzes the display data to obtain a plurality of grayscale distributions of the corresponding display regions of a display panel and generates a backlight signal for adjusting a brightness of each of a plurality of light emitting groups of a backlight module according to the grayscale distributions. The interference data storage unit outputs a plurality of interferences of the corresponding display data according to the backlight controlling signal. The data adjustment unit receives the display data and the interferences and correspondingly adjusts grayscales of the display data according to the interferences.

A liquid crystal display device for improving color washout problem is disclosed in the present invention, in which storage capacitors of two sub-pixels of a pixel are electrically connected to a next scan line and a next scan line of the next scan line, respectively, in order for utilizing driving signals of the two scan lines to modulate voltages of the storage capacitors, so as to make the two sub-pixels have different driving voltages.

Liquid crystal display device for improving color washout effect

A display controlling method is provided. The display controlling method includes following steps. A plurality of display data of a frame is received. The display data is analyzed to obtain a plurality of grayscale distributions corresponding to the display regions. According to the grayscale distributions, a backlight controlling signal for adjusting a brightness of each of the light emitting groups is generated. According to the backlight controlling signal, a plurality of interferences corresponding to the display data is obtained. According to the interferences, grayscales of the display data are correspondingly adjusted. Therefore, the optical interference of each of the pixels from the light emitting groups not corresponding to the pixels can be eliminated.

Display control method

An light emitting diode (LED) control, a plurality of duty cycle signals corresponding to a plurality of LEDs are stored in a dual-port memory by memory mapping. By sampling, the stored duty cycle signals are outputted to generate a plurality of parallel single-bit data each having one single bit. After the single-bit data are converted by a data transmission module, each bit of the single-bit data is serially outputted to a drive module to drive the LEDs. Thus, the ON duty cycles of the LEDs are modulated by pulse width modulation (PWM), light emitted from the LEDs are mixed in time-domain, and the brightness of the LEDs can be controlled.

A lighting device including: a power management module connected with and processing alternating-current power and outputting direct-current power; a light source driving module receiving and processing a portion of the direct-current power and outputting a light source driving signal; a first lighting unit receiving the light source driving signal and illuminating a light source; a sensing unit sensing the light source driving signal intensity; a lighting module receiving a portion of the direct-current power output by the power management module, processing the received direct-current power, outputting a direct-current power signal, storing the direct-current power signal through a power storage control function, processing the stored direct-current power signal by means of a power storage control unit whenever the sensing unit senses that the light source driving module does not output the light source driving signal, and outputting a lighting light source driving signal to a second lighting unit for illuminating a light source.

A lantern structure comprising a base, at least one luminous body, at least one light pipe and a lantern cover, wherein the light source of the luminous body is the LED. The luminous body is disposed on a surface of the base, and the base and the luminous body are enclosed under the lantern cover.
