A lens barrel for holding a lens group therein has a body with a peripheral on which an external thread is formed. The external thread has a plurality of turns which are partially interrupted by at least one threadless segment such that the external thread has at least one of the turns completely extending around the periphery of the body. As a result of the threadless segment, the friction which is generated upon screwingly engaging the lens barrel into a coupling socket can be reduced.

Lens barrel

An image-forming lens set includes a first lens with positive power, a second lens with negative power, an aperture stop, and a third lens with positive power, which are arranged from an object side in order. The first lens has a concave surface facing the object side and a convex surface facing the image side, and at least one of the two surfaces is a non-spherical surface. The second lens is a convex-concave lens having two non-spherical opposite surfaces including a concave surface facing the image side. The third lens has two non-spherical opposite convex surfaces. At least one of the first, second and third lenses is coated with a layer of optical film for filtering light. By means of the lenses having non-spherical surfaces, the image-forming lens set has a simple structure. By means of the optical film, the image formed in a better quality can achieve.

Image-forming lens set

A fine adjustment mechanism for a zoom lens assembly having a zoom mechanism and for lineally moving the zoom mechanism is disclosed to include a barrel and an adjustment ring sleeved onto the barrel. The zoom mechanism is axially moveably mounted to the barrel. The first adjustment ring is provided at an inner periphery surface thereof with an internal thread engaged with an external thread provided at an outer periphery surface of the barrel such that the adjustment ring is axially moveable along the barrel when the adjustment ring is rotated relative to the barrel. The adjustment ring has three protrusions equiangularly spaced on an end face thereof and supporting the zoom mechanism such that the zoom mechanism is driven by the adjustment ring to move axially relative the said barrel when the adjustment ring is rotated relative to the barrel.

Fine adjustment mechanism for zoom lens assembly

A collimating lens includes a first end face with an LED accommodation hole for accommodating an LED lamp, a second end face, which is disposed opposite to the first end face and has an area greater than the first end face, and a sidewall, which is connected between the first end face and the second end face and has a first wall section and a second wall section. The second wall section extends from the second end face toward the first end face to a predetermined distance. The first wall section having one end connected to the second wall section and the other end extending toward the first end face to a predetermined distance. The first wall section defines with the second wall section a contained angle smaller than 180&#xb0;.

Collimating lens for LED lamp

An image-forming lens set includes an aperture stop, a first lens with positive power, a second lens with negative power and a third lens, which are arranged from an object side order. The first lens has two opposite surfaces including a convex surface facing the object side, and at least one of the two opposite surfaces is a non-spherical surface. The second lens has two opposite surfaces including a concave surface facing the object side, and at least one of the two opposite surfaces of the second lens is a non-spherical surface. The third lens has negative refractive power becoming greater from a center to a periphery of positive refractive power. The third lens has two non-spherical opposite surfaces including a convex surface facing the object side. At least one of the first, second and third lenses is coated with a layer of optical film for filtering light.

An image-forming lens set includes a first lens, a second lens, an aperture and a third lens arranged orderly from an objective side toward an image side in sequence. The first lens is made of plastic material and has a positive diopter and two opposite surfaces including a convex surface facing the image side. The second lens is made of plastic material and has a negative diopter and two opposite surfaces including a concave surface facing the image side. The third plastic lens is made of plastic material and has a positive diopter and two opposite surfaces including a convex surface facing the image side.

A high brightness light emitting diode (LED) includes a base, a reflector cap, LED dices, a plastic layer, a lens, and a silicon rubber layer. Conductive terminals extend from the base for connection with an external power source. The base defines a bore receiving the cap with a bottom of the cap exposed. The cap forms a cavity receiving the LED dices, which are electrically connected to the conductive terminals. The plastic layer comprising PPA, LCP, or engineer plastics is filled in the cavity o with ends of the terminals extending beyond the plastic layer. The lens is positioned over the plastic layer and has projections that snugly fit over and engage the base. The silicon rubber layer is interposed between the lens and the base. With such an arrangement, lights from the LED dices can be mixed twice for enhanced uniformity of brightness of the light distribution.

High brightness light emitting diode

A sideway-emission light emitting diode includes a light emitting diode package comprised of a light emitting diode dice that gives off light and a lens that is positioned in front of a front end face of the package for receiving the light and redirecting the received light toward a circumference of the package and a light guide comprised of a board defining a cavity to receive and retain the light emitting diode package therein. The board has opposite sides each forming a cut-off delimited by opposite inclined edges, a refraction section extending from each inclined edge, and a projection section formed between opposite refraction sections, whereby light transmitting into the light guide is directed, by means of the reflection/refraction by the inclined edges, the refraction sections and the projection sections, toward and projected from the projection sections in sideway directions.
