A method for reducing a size of data required for recording a physical characteristic of an optical device is proposed. By performing variable-length coding on sub-pixel data pieces that respectively represent physical characteristics of multiple sub-pixels of the optical device based on a similarity in spatial trend of the physical characteristics of the sub-pixels, a plurality of pixel-index data pieces are generated, and a part of the sub-pixel data pieces can thus be removed to obtain reduced sub-pixel data pieces. The pixel-index data pieces and the reduced sub-pixel data pieces cooperatively replace the sub-pixel data pieces to serve as an index for finding the physical characteristics of the sub-pixels.

Method for reducing a size of data required for recording a physical characteristic of an optical device

A noise detection device includes a drive circuit, a sense circuit and a controller. The drive circuit drives a plurality of drive lines having a first polarity pattern and a second polarity pattern, wherein an operation of the first polarity pattern and the second polarity pattern substantially equals zero over a predetermined time period. The sense circuit senses a plurality of sense signals from at least one sense line during the predetermined time period. The controller derives a magnitude of a noise signal from the at least one sense line according to the sense signals.

A circuit for performing demura operation for a display panel of a computerized device is provided. The circuit includes an arithmetic unit for converting input luminance codes (e.g., grayscale codes) that correspond to a first group of pixels to output luminance codes by computation, and a lookup table unit having a storage module for mapping input luminance codes that correspond to a second group of pixels to output luminance codes. Such a configuration uses the lookup table unit to replace some computations for demura operation, thereby reducing time and power required for demura operation.

A method for enhancing luminance uniformity of a display panel that includes multiple sub-pixels for a same color element is proposed to include: measuring, for each of the sub-pixels, luminance at multiple predetermined luminance codes, so as to obtain a plurality of data points; performing a two-stage curve fitting to obtain a fitting function that describes a curve fitting the data points; and performing demura operation on an image to be displayed by the display panel based on the fitting function.

A signal processing method for a touch panel includes transmitting a first driving signal to a first touch channel of the touch panel; and transmitting a second driving signal to a second touch channel of the touch panel, wherein the second touch channel is neighboring to the first touch channel. Signal processing method and touch sensing system using the same

A noise detection method including the following steps is provided. During different time periods, plural sets of driving signals are respectively transmitted to driving lines of the touch panel to drive sensing lines of the touch panel to generate plural sets of sensing signals. The plural sets of sensing signals are respectively received and calculated to obtain plural sets of summation signals. One set of summation signals includes first summation signals, and another set of summation signals includes second summation signals. A part or all of the first summation signals is replaced by the second summation signals. A signal value of a combination of the first and the second summation signals is calculated to obtain a summation thereof. The summation of the signal value of the combination is smaller than a summation of a signal values of the first summation signals before recombination.

Touch apparatus, touch controller thereof and noise detection method

A touch sensing circuit including a plurality of touch sensing channels is provided. Each of the touch sensing channels includes at least one operational amplifier circuit and a demodulating circuit. The operational amplifier circuit is configured to receive a touch sensing signal, and amplify the touch sensing signal. The operational amplifier circuit includes an operational amplifier. The operational amplifier has an inverting end, and the inverting end is coupled to a direct-current voltage. The demodulating circuit is coupled to the operational amplifier circuit. The demodulating circuit is configured to demodulate the amplified touch sensing signal by mixing the amplified touch sensing signal with a demodulating signal. In addition, a signal demodulating method is also provided.

A phase compensation method for multi-scan in touch sensing system is provided. The phase compensation method includes the following steps. A plurality of carrier signals are received, and a demodulating operation is preformed on each of the carrier signals to obtain a first component signal and a second component signal of each of the carrier signals. An inverse matrix operation is respectively preformed on the first component signal and the second component signal both demodulated by the demodulating operation. A signal mixing operation is preformed on the first component signal and the second component signal both processed by the inverse matrix operation to obtain raw data of each of the carrier signals. Furthermore, a phase compensation circuit applying afore-said phase compensation method is also provided.

A method of determining a touch event in a touch detection system includes: receiving at least one sensing signal corresponding to at least one driving signal configured to drive a touch panel; determining whether a touch event occurs by performing an initial digital operation on the at least one sensing signal; performing an entire determination on the at least one sensing signal after at least one of one or more predetermined conditions is determined to be satisfied, wherein one of the one or more predetermined conditions is that the touch event is determined to occur; and not performing the entire determination on the at least one sensing signal after each of the one or more predetermined conditions is determined to be unsatisfied.

A touch sensing circuit including a plurality of touch sensing channels is provided. Each of the touch sensing channels includes at least one operational amplifier circuit and a demodulating circuit. The operational amplifier circuit is configured to receive a touch sensing signal, and amplify the touch sensing signal. The operational amplifier circuit includes an operational amplifier. The operational amplifier has an inverting end, and the inverting end is coupled to a direct-current voltage. The demodulating circuit is coupled to the operational amplifier circuit. A waveform of the demodulating signal includes a flat region. In addition, a signal demodulating method is also provided.

A carrier touch sensing system includes a demodulation circuit coupled to a touch panel, used for performing in-phase and quadrature demodulations to a plurality of carrier sensing signals to generate and store a plurality of phase delay information if the carrier touch sensing system operates in a phase calibration mode. The demodulation circuit is further used for performing in-phase demodulation to the plurality of carrier sensing signals according to the plurality of phase delay information to generate a plurality of touch signals if the carrier touch sensing system operates in a normal scan mode.

A carrier signal detection apparatus, a touch control apparatus and detection methods thereof are provided. The carrier signal detection apparatus includes an analog to digital converting (ADC) apparatus and a filter. The ADC apparatus receives an analog input signal and converts the analog input signal to a digital signal. The filter receives the digital signal and accumulates the digital signal according to a delay time for generating a carrier signal detection result.

A method of determining a touch event in a touch detection system includes transmitting at least one driving signal to a touch panel of the touch detection system; receiving a sensing signal corresponding to the driving signal from the touch panel; determining whether the touch event occurs by performing an initial digital operation on the sensing signal; determining whether the sensing signal is interfered with by a noise signal; and performing an entire determination on the sensing signal when the touch event is determined to occur or the sensing signal is determined to be interfered with by the noise signal.

A Viterbi decoder of a partial response maximum likelihood channel. In an optical disc drive, a system of partial response maximum likelihood has an analog/digital converter. This analog/digital converter receives an analog signal and outputs a digital signal to a Viterbi decoder. The Viterbi decoder has an adaptive level Viterbi decoder, a signal level mapping algorithm, a received signal delay chain, a hard decoder, and a multiplexer. The adaptive level Viterbi decoder and the hard decoder receive a digital signal output from the analog/digital converter to decode simultaneously. Whether the output of the multiplexer is the decision bit of the adaptive level Viterbi decoder or the hard decoder is determined by the mode selection algorithm.
