A display panel includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a liquid crystal layer, a pixel electrode, a common electrode, a first polarizer and a second polarizer. The pixel electrode includes a trunk portion, first to fourth branch portions, and first to fourth strip portions. The trunk portion extends along a first direction. The first and second branch portions are connected to a first end of the trunk portion. The third and fourth branch portions are connected to a second end of the trunk portion. The first strip portions are connected to the first and second branch portions. The second strip portions are connected to the third and fourth branch portions. The third strip portions are connected to the first and third branch portions and the trunk portion. The fourth strip portions are connected to the second and fourth branch portions and the trunk portion.

Display panel

A display device includes two adjacent pixel electrodes spaced apart from each other by a gap extending in a first direction, at least one signal line extending in the first direction and having at least one protrusion at at least one side thereof, and two adjacent common electrode lines spaced apart from each other. The orthogonal projection of one/the other common electrode line on the substrate is located between the orthogonal projection of the signal line on the substrate and the orthogonal projection of one/the other pixel electrode on the substrate. Each common electrode line has a bend segment bending away from the signal line, wherein the protrusion of the at least one signal line positionally corresponds to the bend segment of each common electrode line, and the length of the protrusion is not larger than the length of the bend segment.

A display device includes a plurality of transparent voltage-dividing common electrodes and a plurality of pixel units. The transparent voltage-dividing common electrodes are electrically isolated from each other in a first direction. Each of the pixel units includes a first pixel electrode, a second pixel electrode, and a voltage-dividing switch. The first pixel electrode is configured to receive a data voltage. The second pixel electrode is configured to receive the data voltage. The voltage-dividing switch is configured to divide the data voltage on the second pixel electrode to one of the transparent voltage-dividing common electrodes.

Display device

A display device includes a first substrate, a first metal layer, a gate insulating layer, semiconductor channels, a second metal layer, a color filter layer, a shielding electrode, an insulating layer, pixel electrodes, a liquid crystal layer, a second substrate and a second common electrode. The first metal layer is located on the first substrate and includes scan lines, gates and first common electrodes. The gate insulating layer is located on the first metal layer. The semiconductor channels are located on the gate insulating layer. The second metal layer is located on the gate insulating layer, and includes sources, drains and data lines. The color filter layer is located on the second metal layer. The shielding electrode at least partially overlaps the second metal layer. The insulating layer is located on the color filter layer. The second common electrode is located on the second substrate.

A pixel array substrate including a substrate, data lines, gate lines, pixels, and transfer lines is provided. The data lines are disposed on the substrate and arranged in a first direction. The gate lines are disposed on the substrate and arranged in a second direction interlaced with the first direction. The pixels are disposed on the substrate, each of which includes an active device electrically connected to one of the data lines and one of the gate lines and a pixel electrode electrically connected to the active device. The transfer lines are arranged in the first direction and electrically connected to the gate lines, respectively. The pixels include first pixels. In a top view of the pixel array substrate, at least one of the pixel electrodes of the first pixels is partially overlapped with one of the transfer lines. A driving method of a pixel array substrate is also provided.

Pixel array substrate

A pixel array substrate including a substrate, pixel structures, and transfer lines is provided. The pixel structures are disposed on the substrate. Each pixel structure includes a data line, a gate line, an active device, and a pixel electrode. The active device is electrically connected to the data line and the gate line. The pixel electrode is electrically connected to the active device. The pixel electrode defines alignment domains. The alignment domains have different alignment directions. The transfer lines are arranged in a first direction. Gate lines of the pixel structures are arranged in a second direction. The first direction and the second direction are interlaced. The transfer lines are electrically connected to the gate lines. The pixel structures include a first pixel structure. The transfer lines include a first transfer line. The first transfer line overlaps a boundary between the alignment domains of the first pixel structure.

A pixel structure is provided. The pixel structure includes a scan line and a data line, an active device, a pixel electrode, and a common electrode. The active device is electrically connected to the scan line and the data line. The pixel electrode is electrically connected to the active device. The common electrode is disposed to overlap with the pixel electrode. The common electrode is coupled to the pixel electrode to form a first storage capacitor and a second storage capacitor. The first storage capacitor and the second storage capacitor commonly use the pixel electrode as an upper electrode.

Pixel structure

Pixel array substrate and driving method thereof

A curved display panel includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a display medium located between the first substrate and the second substrate, scan lines, data lines, pixel structures, color filter patterns, shielding patterns, and filling structures. Each pixel structure is electrically connected to one of the scan lines and one of the data lines, and includes an active device and a pixel electrode. The color filter patterns are disposed corresponding to the pixel structures. The shielding patterns are disposed parallel to the data lines, gaps are provided between the shielding patterns and the scan lines, and the shielding patterns are disposed corresponding to junctions of two adjacent color filter patterns. The filling structures are disposed corresponding to the gaps.

Display device and driving method thereof

A pixel structure includes a scan line, a data line, first and second common lines, first and second sub-pixels, and a color filter layer. The scan line is disposed between the first and second common lines. The first sub-pixel and the second pixel respectively include an active device and a pixel electrode. The pixel electrode of the first sub-pixel is disposed between the scan line and the first common line. The pixel electrode of the second sub-pixel is disposed between the scan line and the second common line. The pixel electrode is connected to the active device through a contact hole. The pixel electrode includes a first side and a second side opposite to each other, wherein the first side of the pixel electrode is adjacent to the scan line, and the contact hole is disposed at an edge of the pixel electrode adjacent to the second side. The color filter layer has an opening exposing the active devices of the first sub-pixel and the second sub-pixel.

A pixel structure, including pixels arranged in a matrix. Each pixel includes sub-pixels arranged along a row direction, including first type sub-pixels and at least one second type sub-pixel. The sub-pixels in different rows are arranged alternately such that each sub-pixel column includes the same numbers of the second type sub-pixels. Each sub-pixel has a color resist and a photo spacer disposed thereon. The color resists of the second type sub-pixels have a sectional difference from the color resists of the first type sub-pixels, and the sectional difference is greater than a height of the photo spacer of each of the first type sub-pixels. For each second type sub-pixel, a photo spacer (PS) stage is extended from a corresponding common voltage line, and the color resist is disposed on the corresponding PS stage to form the sectional difference. Thus, each common voltage line has the same number of PS stages.
