This application provides a configuration method and an apparatus, and relates to the field of communications technologies, so that in a scenario in which an SCG is deactivated, a network side can activate the SCG or a cell in the SCG by using a MAC CE. The method includes: A terminal receives a MAC CE from a first node, where the MAC CE is for activating or deactivating one or more cells in a cell group managed by a second node; and then the terminal activates or deactivates, based on the MAC CE, the one or more cells in the cell group managed by the second node.

Configuration method and apparatus

A first terminal obtains a plurality of first relative positions. Each of the plurality of first relative positions is determined based on a second relative position and a third relative position. The first relative position is an initial relative position between the first terminal and a second terminal, the second relative position is a relative position between the first terminal and a reference point, and the third relative position is a relative position between the second terminal and the reference point. A communication method for a dual connectivity system and a communication apparatus are disclosed, to support relaxing radio resource management (RRM) measurement. The method includes: A first network device determines that a terminal device is to deactivate a secondary cell group (SCG) of the terminal device; the first network device sends first information to the terminal device, where the first information indicates the terminal device to deactivate the secondary cell group SCG of the terminal device, to enable the terminal device to relax SCG RRM measurement after deactivating the SCG; and the terminal device relaxes the SCG RRM measurement after deactivating the SCG based on the first information. The first network device is a master node or a secondary station of the terminal device. In this way, when the SCG is deactivated, relaxing the SCG RRM measurement can be supported.

Communication method for dual connectivity system and communication apparatus

Example methods for reporting user equipment location information and apparatus are described. In one example method, user equipment receives a first message, where the first message comprises a paging trigger indication, and the paging trigger indication is used to trigger the user equipment to report, when receiving a paging message, a measurement result of a positioning reference signal. The user equipment receives the paging message in an idle state or an inactive state. The measurement result of the positioning reference signal is reported by the user equipment based on the paging message.

A communication method and apparatus are provided, to resolve a problem that a terminal device may fail to normally communicate with a network side when an SCG is suspended and a link problem occurs in an MCG or a signal quality of the MCG deteriorates, so that communication reliability is improved. The communication method and the apparatus are applicable to a communication system of any dual connectivity architecture, such as EN-DC, NGEN-DC, NE-DC and NR-DC. The method includes: When detecting that a link problem occurs in an MCG or signal quality of the MCG is less than a signal quality threshold, a terminal device resumes a suspended SCG, to resume communication between the terminal device and a network side. The MCG is managed by a master node, and the SCG is managed by a secondary node.

A method includes receiving a first message from a first master node. The first message includes an identifier of a first candidate primary secondary cell (PSCell) or an identifier of first configuration information of the first candidate PSCell. The first candidate PSCell is included in both a first PSCell list and a second PSCell list. Alternatively, the first message includes delta configuration information of a second candidate PSCell in the second PSCell list. The first configuration information of the first candidate PSCell includes an addition/change condition and a configuration of the first candidate PSCell. The first PSCell list includes one or more candidate PSCells configured by the first master node for a terminal. The second PSCell list includes one or more candidate PSCells configured by a second master node for the terminal. The method also includes adding a target PSCell or changing from an original PSCell to the target PSCell.
