This application provides an electrode assembly and a battery cell. The battery cell includes an electrode assembly, a housing, and a first electrode terminal. The housing includes an accommodation cavity. The electrode assembly is accommodated in the accommodation cavity, and the first electrode terminal is disposed in the housing. The electrode assembly includes a first electrode plate, a second electrode plate, and a separator. The separator separates the first electrode plate from the second electrode plate. The first electrode plate includes a first current collector, a first active material layer, and an insulation layer. The first current collector includes a first body portion and a first tab extending from the first body portion.

Among that, the electrode assembly includes a negative electrode plate and a positive electrode plate which form a bending region. The positive electrode plate includes bending portions located in the bending region, the bending portion includes a positive electrode current collecting layer and a positive active substance layer, and at least one side surface of the positive electrode current collecting layer is provided with the positive active substance layer in a thickness direction of the positive electrode plate. The positive electrode film layer includes a positive electrode active material including an inner core and a shell coating the inner core. The shell includes a first coating layer coating the inner core, a second coating layer coating the first coating layer, and a third coating layer coating the second coating layer. The conductive undercoat layer includes a polymer, an aqueous binder, and a conductive agent.

The present application relates to a positive electrode plate and an electrochemical device. The positive electrode plate includes a current collector, a positive active material layer, and a binding layer disposed between the current collector and the positive active material layer, the binding layer comprising a polymer material, a conductive material, and an inorganic filler, wherein the polymer material comprises a binding layer matrix and the binding layer matrix is an oil-dispersible polymer material having a solubility in NMP at 130&#xb0; C. for 5 minutes, which is 30% or less of the solubility of PVDF under the same conditions. The positive electrode plate can improve the safety performance of the electrochemical device (for example, a capacitor, a primary battery, a secondary battery, or the like) under abnormal conditions such as nailing penetration.

The present disclosure relates to a lithium-ion battery bonding agent and a lithium-ion battery comprising the same. The bonding agent may be a polymer comprising structural units represented by Formula I, Formula II, Formula III, and Formula IV, and has an average molecular weight of 500,000 to 1.2 million. The bonding agent may be incorporated into at least one of a positive film, a negative film, a separator, and an electrolyte in the battery. The bonding agent can significantly improve the flexibility of the positive film, avoid processability and battery performance issues caused by the electrode film being too brittle, and help improve the compact density and battery energy density.
