A series elastic actuator includes a gear configured to rotate, a mounting recess formed on a first surface of the gear, a plurality of elastic bodies configured to be received in the mounting recess that are made of a non-metal elastic material and spaced apart from each other in a circumferential direction, an output body configured to cover the first surface of the gear, and at least one insertion portion configured to protrude from the output body to be inserted between a pair of adjacent elastic bodies or inserted through the elastic bodies.

Series elastic actuator

A series elastic actuator includes a gear configured to rotate, an output body configured to rotate by the gear, and an elastic body connecting the gear and the output body. The elastic body may include an outer ring fastened to the gear, an inner ring positioned inside the outer ring and fastened to the output body, and a deformation portion connecting the outer ring and the inner ring and deforming elastically. The elastic body may include a plurality of elastic bodies connected in parallel or in series.

An elastic actuator includes a gear transmitting a rotational force; a mounting recess formed in a first side of the gear; a plurality of elastic wedges received in the mounting recess at positions that are spaced apart from each other in a circumferential direction of the mounting recess, each elastic wedge including a non-metal elastic material; a through-hole penetrating an elastic wedge among the plurality of elastic wedges; an output body configured to cover the first side of the gear; and at least one insertion bar protruding from a first side of the output body toward the first side of the gear and configured to be inserted into the through-hole. The elastic actuator further includes a shaft coupled to the output body and penetrating the gear, a protrusion having an inner space through which the shaft passes being formed to extend from the mounting recess toward the output body.

A series elastic actuator includes a gear, a mounting recess formed in the gear, an elastic body provided in the mounting recess, an output body, a through-hole penetrating the gear, a shaft passing through the through-hole, a pair of bearings to radially support the shaft, and a pair of bearing mounting recesses to receive the pair of bearings. The gear is configured to rotate by a rotational power source. A rotation force of the gear is transmitted to the gear by the elastic body. The through-hole may extend in an axial direction, and the pair of bearings may be spaced apart from each other in the axial direction. The pair of bearing mounting recesses may be formed at opposite ends of the through-hole.
