A lighting device, or LED lamp is described with a base element for electrical contacting and mechanical mounting and an LED arrangement with at least one LED element. The LED arrangement is spaced from the base element along a longitudinal axis. In order to provide a lighting device and a lighting arrangement with a matched optical and thermal design, i.e. where both effective heat dissipation and an advantageous light intensity distribution are achieved, a lower heat dissipating structure is arranged between the base element and the LED arrangement. The lower heat dissipating structure includes a plurality of planar heat dissipation elements made out of a heat conducting material, shaped to have at a first longitudinal position along the longitudinal axis a first extension in cross-section, and at a second longitudinal position a second extension in cross-section. The first longitudinal position is arranged closer to the LED arrangement than the second longitudinal position, and the first extension is smaller than the second extension in order to minimize obstruction of light emitted from the LED arrangement.

LED lighting device with lower heat dissipating structure

The present invention relates to a substrate () comprising: a first segment () provided with a first contact pad () for connection of a first light emitting element (); and a second segment () provided with a second contact pad () for connection of a second light emitting element (), wherein the substrate is provided with at least one through-hole (-) that extends from an edge () of the substrate to a point within the substrate, such that a relative movement, in a plane of the substrate, can be achieved between the first segment () of the substrate and the second segment () of the substrate by applying a mechanical force to the substrate. This makes very accurate alignment to a multiple cavity optical system possible without adjusting the optics, thereby enabling a more convenient and time efficient process in production.

Substrate for mounting a plurality of light emitting elements

A lighting system comprises a plurality of discrete light emitting diode modules and a translucent portion containing the plurality of discrete light emitting diode modules. Each light emitting diode module comprises a light emitting diode and at least a first module electrode and a second module electrode. The first module electrode is in electrical connection with the cathode of the light emitting diode and the second module electrode is in electrical connection with the anode of the light emitting diode. At least a portion of the plurality of light emitting diode modules form a string of modules, with at least one module electrode of each of the light emitting diode modules in the string being in direct physical contact with a module electrode of a neighboring light emitting diode module in the string such that, when a voltage is applied across the string, current flows in each light emitting diode module in the string thereby activating the light emitting diode of each light emitting diode module in the string.

The device comprises a plurality of light sources () providing light in different wavelengths, a collimating means () having a receiving end () and an output end (), wherein said light sources are arranged at said receiving end. The collimating means comprises a set of wavelength selective filters () arranged as sub-collimators () to each of said plurality of light sources such that, for each light source, said sub-collimator collimates the light from its light source, and said wavelength selective filter of said each light source is translucent for light from adjacent light sources of different wavelength, wherein said wavelength selective filters are high pass or low pass filters.

The collimating means comprises a set of wavelength selective filters () arranged as sub-collimators () to each of said plurality of light sources such that, for each light source, said sub-collimator collimates the light from its light source, and said wavelength selective filter of said each light source is translucent for light from adjacent light sources of different wavelength, and a second set of wavelength selective filters comprising compensation filters () wherein each compensation filter is arranged symmetrically with respect to corresponding part of the wavelength selective filter of said first set around a general light direction of the corresponding light source.
