The present disclosure relates to fibrous structures including active agents and having a graphic printed thereon. In some embodiments, a nonwoven web may include a fibrous structure comprising filaments. In turn, the filaments may include filament forming material, and an active agent releasable from the filaments when exposed to conditions of intended use. In addition, a graphic may be printed directly onto the fibrous structure.

The present disclosure relates to homogeneous or heterogeneous polymer foam structures having a graphic printed thereon. As discussed herein, foam structures, such as for example High Internal Phase Emulsion (HIPE) foam structures may include a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface, and one or more graphics may be printed directly on the first and/or second surfaces of the foam. The graphic may comprise ink positioned on the first and/or second surface, wherein the ink may penetrate into the foam structure below the surface on which the ink is applied. As such, the ink may reside on the foam structure and/or within the foam structure at various depths below the first and/or second surface.

Heterogeneous foam materials having a graphic printed thereon

The present disclosure relates to printing graphics onto advancing substrates in diaper converting lines, wherein first graphics having relatively low print resolutions and second graphics having relatively high print resolutions may be both printed onto advancing substrates. During the assembly process, localized speed variances may be imparted to the advancing substrates to achieve the different print resolutions. In some configurations, first graphics with relatively low print resolutions may be printed onto the substrate while advancing at relatively high speeds, and second graphics with relatively high print resolutions may be printed onto portions of the substrate that have been temporarily stopped or slowed to relatively slow speed. The printed substrates may then be incorporated into assembled diapers so as place the graphics in desired positions on the diapers.

Aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatuses for printing and curing energy curable inks printed on a substrate having an onset temperature T(C&#xb0;). The printing systems may include a printing station and a light source. During operation, the printing station deposits energy curable ink onto a first surface of the substrate to define a printed region, and the light source directs ultraviolet light onto the first surface of the substrate to define an illumination zone on the first surface of the substrate. The substrate is advanced in a machine direction to advance the printed region through the illumination zone to cure the energy curable ink. While the printed region advances through the illumination zone, the ultraviolet light heats the substrate from an initial temperature T(C&#xb0;) entering the illumination zone to a maximum temperature T(C&#xb0;), wherein T(C&#xb0;)&#x2264;T(C&#xb0;).

Method and apparatus for curing inks printed on heat sensitive absorbent article components

Aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatuses printing and curing energy curable inks printed on substrates. The printing systems may include a printing station, a light source, and a reflective device. During operation, the printing station deposits energy curable ink onto a first surface of the substrate to define a printed region, wherein an amount of the curable ink may penetrate into the substrate from the first surface toward a second surface. The light source directs ultraviolet light onto the first surface of the substrate to define a first illumination zone. The reflective device reflects ultraviolet light traveling from the second surface of the substrate back toward the second surface to define a second illumination zone. The substrate is advanced in a machine direction to advance the energy curable ink through the first illumination zone and the second illumination zone to cure the energy curable ink.
