A data processing system may include a plurality of memory systems and a host configured to provide commands for the memory systems. A first memory system among the memory systems may receive the commands from the host, check each of the memory systems where a plurality of command operations corresponding to the commands are to be performed, transmit respective commands among the commands to respective remaining memory systems except for the first memory system among the memory systems through a plurality of dedicated channels, and perform a first command operation corresponding to the first memory system in at least one of the remaining memory systems.

A memory system includes a non-volatile memory including a main area and a first cache area; and a controller suitable for controlling the non-volatile memory and including a second cache area. The controller includes a read manager suitable for performing a migration operation of moving data stored in the main area into the first cache area based on a list storing a plurality of logical block addresses (LBAs) based on a read data access pattern.

The controller manages a list of victim blocks as a target of a merge operation, the controller manages entire valid pages included in the victim blocks, by classifying them into N number of page groups depending on a kind of each of the entire valid pages, and the controller selects valid pages to be moved to a free block in the merge operation, among the entire valid pages, and N may be a natural number of 2 or greater.
