Disclosed is an integrated structure of a differential dielectric resonator antenna and a separately controllable dual-band filter. The integrated structure includes a dielectric substrate, a rectangular dielectric resonator and a feed structure. Two functions, i.e., an antenna function and a filter function, which do not interfere with each other, are realized at the same time. Differential excitation is performed on a main mode of the rectangular dielectric resonator, so as to design a differential dielectric resonator antenna. A separately controllable first passband of the filter is integrated and realized on a virtual ground of the differential dielectric resonator antenna, and then a separately controllable second passband of the filter is realized by using a reflection ground. The antenna and the filter share the same module, but maintain good isolation, such that the number and volume of microwave devices in a radio frequency system can be reduced.

Integrated structure of differential dielectric resonator antenna and independently controllable dual-band filter

A compact microwave distributed-element dual-mode bandpass filter is provided, comprising a dual-mode resonator and a signal input port and a signal output port coupled electrically to the dual-mode resonator respectively; wherein, the dual-mode resonator comprises a main stripline with a center-loaded short-circuited stub, the main stripline is reasonably folded in both vertical and horizontal directions and is reasonably folded into a first layer, a second layer, a third layer and a fourth layer; a symmetrical plane is provided between the second layer and the third layer, while the first layer and the fourth layer are symmetrical to each other relative to the symmetrical plane, the second layer and the third layer are symmetrical to each other relative to the symmetrical plane as well; the center-loaded short-circuited stub is located on the symmetrical plane, and the symmetrical plane can be treated as a virtual ground at odd-mode resonant frequency.

Compact microwave distributed-element dual-mode bandpass filter

The present invention provides a wideband frequency tunable ring resonator, wherein, comprises a closed &#x3bb;/2 transmission line and two variable capacitors with tunable capacitance, the &#x3bb;/2 transmission line is axisymmetric around a central line, first ends of the two variable capacitors are respectively connected to two intersection points of the &#x3bb;/2 transmission line and the central line, the second ends of the two variable capacitors are respectively grounded. By implementing the technical solution of present invention, following technical effects are obtained. The fundamental resonant frequency (f) can be shifted up and down by controlling the respective values of the two loading capacitors, resulting in a bi-directional tuning of f. As a result, the tuning range of this invention can be approximately doubled as compared with the conventional tunable ring resonator.

Wideband frequency tunable ring resonator

A microwave frequency tunable filtering balun is provided. The microwave frequency tunable filtering balun comprises a first microwave split ring transmission line resonator and a second microwave split ring transmission line resonator arranged in a bilaterally symmetrical manner, a fourth variable capacitor and a fifth variable capacitor of same parameters. It combines two functions of balun and tunable bandpass filter (BPF) into one circuit, resulting in a compact design. The balun characteristic and frequency-tuning mechanism are investigated, and the design equations are derived.
