A direct type backlight has a plate and a plurality of light emitting diode (LED) rows. The LED rows are disposed on the plate, and every two adjacent LED rows have a row gap positioned therebetween. The one of these gaps, which is nearest to the center of the direct type backlight, is a minimum gap.

Direct type backlight

An illuminating keyboard is provided. An illuminating keyboard includes a key module, a light guide plate, and a light source. The key module includes one or more keys. The light guide plate is disposed beneath the key module and includes a plurality of openings. The plurality of openings is formed outside any area directly beneath the one or more keys. The light source is disposed adjacent to the light guide plate.

Illuminating keyboards

A backlight module including an extruded metallic carrier, a reflector sheet, a light source and a diffuser plate is provided. Of which, the extruded metallic carrier has a carrier's top-face and plural heat-dissipating tunnels with an accommodation sink being formed on the carrier's top-face; both the reflector sheet and the light source are deposited in the accommodation sink with the former being situated under the latter; the diffuser plate is situated above the light source. The extruded metallic carrier according to the invention not only maintains the overall evenness of the backlight module but also dissipates the heat outside, hence preventing the diffuser plate from being caved in and deformed due to a high temperature and improving the luminance quality of the backlight module.

Backlight module

In a light emitting device including a transparent covering, a fastener having a vertical member and a horizontal member, a light-emitting chip disposed on one face of the vertical member and encased by the transparent covering, a circuit board disposed on one face of the horizontal member, at least one conductive means connecting the light-emitting chip to the circuit board, and at least one heat-dissipating plate perpendicularly disposed on the other face of the horizontal member, light may be emitted longitudinally along a light-guiding plate, thus optimizing the travel path of the emitted light, while maintaining a compact shape by enabling placement of the printed circuit board and heat dissipating plates away from a longitudinal axis of the light-guiding plate.

Light emitting diode backlight package

A back light module adopted for use in a dual panel display includes a plurality of external electrode fluorescent lamps (EEFLs) positioned between two liquid crystal display panels. Each EEFL has a first electrode and a second electrode, and the first electrodes and the second electrodes are respectively electrically connected in parallel.

Back light module for use in a dual-sided display

A direct backlight module. The backlight module includes a diffuser, a reflecting plate, a plurality of light sources and at least one transparent support. The reflecting plate connects to the diffuser and forms a chamber therebetween. The plurality of light sources are disposed in the chamber. The transparent support is disposed in the chamber to support the diffuser and the reflecting plate.

Direct backlight module

A liquid crystal display module comprising a first bezel module and a second bezel module is provided. The first bezel module furthermore comprises a lower bezel, a diffusion plate, an optical film plate, a liquid crystal panel and an upper bezel. The diffusion plate is positioned over the lower bezel and the optical film plate is positioned over the diffusion plate. The liquid crystal panel is positioned over the optical film plate. The upper bezel is positioned over the lower bezel such that the lower bezel and the upper bezel together fix the diffusion plate, the optical film plate and the liquid crystal panel. The second bezel module furthermore comprises a bottom bezel, a reflecting plate and a light source. The reflecting plate is positioned over the bottom bezel and the light source is embedded within the bottom bezel above the reflecting plate. The first bezel module and the second bezel module are assembled together by a detachable means.

Liquid crystal display module

A frame including a first edge and a second edge, wherein on outer surfaces of the first edge, first hooks are formed to protrude outwardly, and on outer surfaces of the second edge, first holes are formed. A bezel has a first sidewall and a second sidewall, wherein on the first sidewall, second holes are formed, and on outer surfaces of the second sidewall, second hooks are formed to protrude outwardly. When the frame is mounted onto the bezel, the first edge is disposed onto inside surfaces of the first sidewall, and the first hooks are inserted and engaged in the second holes for fastening the frame and bezel, simultaneously the second edge is disposed onto the outside surfaces of the second sidewall, and the second hooks are inserted and engaged in the first holes for fastening the frame and the bezel.

Frame and bezel structure for backlight unit

A backlight device with an easily replaced lamp. The backlight device includes a frame, a lighting guide and at least one lamp assembly. The frame has an inner surface. The lighting guide is disposed inside the frame. The lamp assembly is disposed inside the frame and besides the lighting guide. A gap is provided between the inner surface of the frame and the lamp assembly to decrease the friction applied onto the lamp assembly.
