An optical identification device includes a top cover, a circuit board, an optical detection module, an optical deviation component and an anti-reflection component. The circuit board is disposed under the top cover. The optical detection module is disposed on the circuit board, and the optical detection module includes a light emitter and a light receiver. The optical deviation component is disposed on the light emitter of the optical detection module and adapted to change a transmission direction of an optical signal emitted by the light emitter, so that the optical signal is projected onto the top cover in an inclined manner. The anti-reflection component is disposed on a surface of the top cover facing the optical detection module and adapted to increase a penetration rate of the optical signal projected onto the top cover.

Optical identification device and related case

An electronic device, comprising: a first light source, configured to emit first light; a second light source, configured to emit second light; an optical sensor, configured to sense optical data generated according to reflected light of the second light or according to reflected light of the first light; and a control circuit, configured to analyze optical information of the optical data. If the control circuit determines variation of the optical information is larger than a variation threshold, the control circuit controls the first light source to be non-activated and the second light source to be activated.

Electronic device controlling light sources according to optical variation

A joystick includes a stick head, an actuating component, a substrate, a bearing base, a resilient recovering component and a constraining component. The actuating component has a first end and a second end opposite to each other. The first end is connected to the stick head, and an identification feature is disposed on the second end. The substrate has a detection module used to detect the identification feature and determine motion of the stick head. The bearing base is disposed on the substrate. An opening portion of the bearing base aligns with the detection module and the actuating component. The resilient recovering component is disposed between the substrate and the bearing base. The constraining component is disposed on the resilient recovering component and movably disposed inside the opening portion, and used to abut against the actuating component in a detachable manner.

Joystick with preferred recovering function

A pressure detection device of detecting a forced state of a deformable object includes a body, an image sensor and a processor. The body is a deformable hollow structure. The body has an inner surface and an outer surface, and an identifiable vision feature is disposed on the inner surface. The image sensor is disposed inside the body and faces the inner surface of the body, and is adapted to capture a frame containing the identifiable vision feature on the inner surface. The processor is electrically connected with the image sensor, and adapted to analyze position variation of the identifiable vision feature within the captured frame for identifying a motion type of a gesture applied to the outer surface of the body.

An auto clean machine, comprising: a chassis; a first light source, configured to emit first light; a second light source, configured to emit second light; an optical sensor, configured to sense optical data generated according to reflected light of the second light or according to reflected light of the first light; and a control circuit, configured to analyze optical information of the optical data; wherein if the first light source is activated, the second light source is de-activated and the control circuit determines variation of the optical information is larger than a variation threshold, the control circuit changes the first light source to be non-activated and the second light source to be activated.

Auto clean machine, cliff determining method and surface type determining method

There is provided a mobile robot that performs the obstacle avoidance and visual simultaneous localization and mapping (VSLAM) according to image frames captured by the same optical sensor. The mobile robot includes a pixel array and a processor. An upper part of the pixel array is not coated with any filter and a lower part of the pixel array is coated with an IR filter. The processor performs range estimation using pixel data corresponding to the lower part of the pixel array, and perform the VSLAM using pixel data corresponding to the upper part of the pixel array.

Mobile robot performing multiple detections using image frames of same optical sensor

A tracking device including an image sensor, a light source and a processor is provided. The image sensor senses reflected light or scattered light formed by the light source illuminating a work surface. The processor calculates a trace of the tracking device according to one of the reflected light and the scattered light that generates more apparent image features so as to increase the adaptable work surfaces.

Tracking device with improved work surface adaptability

There is provided a mobile robot that performs the obstacle avoidance, positioning and object recognition according to image frames captured by the same optical sensor. The mobile robot includes an optical sensor, a light emitting diode, a laser diode and a processor. The processor identifies an obstacle and a distance thereof according to image frames captured by the optical sensor when the laser diode is emitting light. The processor further performs the positioning and object recognition according to image frames captured by the optical sensor when the light emitting diode is emitting light.

A proximity sensing device includes: a light source, a sensing unit, a light guide unit, and a window. The light source emits light, which is guided by the light guide unit to the window. The emitted light reflected by an object is received by the same window. The light guide unit includes a partial-transmissive-partial-reflective (PTPR) optical element, whereby the light emitted from the light source is reflected by the PTPR optical element, while the light reflected by the object passes through the PTPR optical element. There is only one window required.

An image identification method is used to eliminate accumulated error of operation of a joystick. The joystick has an optical sensor adapted to analyze a movement of a plurality of identification dots disposed on a stick body. The image identification method includes receiving a series of detection images, setting a first identification dot of the plurality of identification dots as being a reference identification dot, and setting a second identification dot of the plurality of identification dos as being the reference identification dot and cancelling the first identification dot as being the reference identification dot when the first identification dot is near a border of the detection image. A position change of the reference identification dot in the series of detection images is used for identifying a control status of the joystick.

Image identification method applied to a joystick

An optical identification device includes a circuit board, a top cover, an optical detection module and an optical channel. The top cover is disposed on the circuit board and has an identification region. The optical detection module is disposed on the circuit board and located inside the top cover. The optical detection module includes an optical emitter and an optical receiver. The optical emitter is adapted to emit an illumination beam toward the top cover. The optical receiver is adapted to receive the illumination beam reflected from the top cover. The optical channel is disposed between the optical emitter and the top cover, and adapted to block the illumination beam from projecting onto a lower surface of the identification region facing the optical receiver.

Tracking device and electronic device with improved work surface adaptability

A joystick includes a casing, a stick body and an optical sensor. The casing has a hole. The stick body is movably disposed on the casing via the hole. The stick body includes a pressing portion, an indication portion and an identification pattern. The indication portion is connected to the pressing portion and inserts into the hole. A sunken structure is formed on a bottom of the indication portion. The identification pattern is disposed on an inner surface of the sunken structure. The optical sensor is disposed inside the casing and faces the sunken structure, and adapted to analyze a movement of the identification pattern to identify a control status of the stick body.

Joystick

A joystick has a related control method to provide displayed object control function. The joystick includes a body, an image sensor and a processor. The body has a deformable bottom surface whereon a pattern is disposed. The image sensor is disposed under the body and adapted to capture a frame about the pattern. The processor is electrically connected with the image sensor and adapted to generate a displayed object control signal according to pattern variation within the frame.
