The invention relates to lightweight LED lighting systems for permanent and semi-permanent mounting on elevated structures, the lighting systems having integrated support and thermal transfer features. The systems are particularly suited for elevated mast systems and specifically for mast systems that are repeatedly lifted and lowered such as drilling and service rig masts. Specifically, the invention improves a) the weight/lumen ratios of LED lamp assemblies and LED lighting systems, b) the net added weight of LED lighting systems, c) the footprint of LED light systems and/or d) obviates the need for removing LED lighting systems or their sub-assemblies when transporting mast systems.

The invention relates to methods, systems and apparatus for distributed management of raw water and internal combustion engine (ICE) gas emissions generated during industrial operations. One aspect of the invention at least partially utilizes a hot gas air knife to increase or partially increase surface area between a raw water and a hot gas in order to vaporize a proportion of the aqueous phase of the raw water and concentrate contaminants within a residual raw water concentrate. The water vapor generated by the vaporization process may be demisted, discharged directly to the atmosphere or alternatively condensed and captured for use. Another aspect relates to how the liquids and gasses interact to continuously flush the surfaces of the system which may help mitigate scaling issues. The invention may help facilitate rapid transfer of ICE combustion gas particulate and ICE combustion gas chemicals onto and into the raw water as it concentrates.

The invention describes separation systems and methods for separating solids and liquids from one another. The system includes a rotating screen for supporting a slurry of solids and liquid. A fluid manifold is configured to the lower surface of the screen for applying a downward vacuum force through the screen. A cleaning manifold is configured to the screen for cleaning the screen.

The invention relates to a roller ski having a suspension system incorporated into the front and rear regions of the main roller ski body. The suspension system allows roller-skiers to undertake roller-skiing on rougher pavement, asphalt or the like by reducing stress and/or discomfort to the roller-skier. In addition, the suspension system provides a skiing experience that more closely resembles skiing on snow by returning energy back to the skier in a manner similar to the effect that the camber of a snow ski provides to the skier. In addition, in one embodiment, the roller ski also includes a pressure sensitive ratchet system that simulates skiing using classical technique.
