The disclosure relates to a method for encoding an illustration, which involves writing the illustration in greyscale or in color, encoding a message in the form of a two-dimensional barcode comprising a set of blocks, each block encoding a fragment of the message and comprising a set of (M) rows and (N) columns, and each block comprising a set of encoding sub-blocks, each subblock comprising a set of bits. It is essentially characterized in that the encoding step comprises defining or identifying a set of remarkable points on the source illustration, calculating a set of attributes according to certain remarkable points, selecting, among the set of attributes, at least one attribute making it possible to define a digital fingerprint, optionally compressed, optionally sign the digital fingerprint, record in the message one of at least one attribute, the digital fingerprint, optionally compressed, the signed digital fingerprint in compressed or non-compressed form.

A method for making an object secure comprises creating a multi-layer graphic signature by superposing, in partial or total transparency, a first random graphic element on a first layer to a second graphic element on a second layer, and storing the graphic signature on or in the object. The invention relates to a prefabricated secure foldable multilayer label intended to be adhered onto a substrate, including built-in security means (), characterized in that it includes a first flap () and a second flap (), each including a transparent substrate layer (), said flaps being separated by a folding line and capable of overlapping and being adhered along a first surface () of said flaps (). An optical security component intended to be checked in reflection in a checking spectral band includes a layer that is reflective in the checking spectral band. The layer exhibits a structured zone that includes microstructures distributed spatially in a uniform manner over a whole of the structured zone so as to form an optical structure that is at least partially scattering in the checking spectral band. The microstructures have heights that are distributed according to a random function, modulated over the structured zone by a modulation function so as to form, after illumination of the optical security component at a given angle, an image identifiable by observation in reflection.

A security marking system for producing a secure marking label includes a support sheet, such as a silicon-containing sheet, having two separate flaps on a first folding line, the first flap supporting, on the recto side, a first holographic component whereof the surface contacting the support sheet is coated with an adhesive film. The second flap supports, on the same recto side, a second component formed by a film whereof the surface contacting the support sheet is coated with an adhesive film and the opposite surface bears personalizing indicia. The invention relates to a security marking label for a transparent support such as the windshield of a motor vehicle. The label comprises information specific to the marked support. Methods and adhesive labels useful in marking products or documents by applying these to substrates. A mark such as a barcode, photograph or characters are formed directly on the substrate and the adhesive label is applied over it. The adhesive label includes a concealing film layer which is transparent to a first wavelength outside the visible region, a diffractive optical mark with a transparent reflective layer and an adhesive layer. The first wavelength may be infrared allowing the underlying mark to be read by an IR laser. The adhesive labels are formed as to allow them to be continuously separated from a temporary detachment layer, thereby exposing the adhesive layer, and affixed to the document.
