Methods and systems for automatically providing dynamic content for facilitating a transaction are described herein. An online marketplace is accessed by a client device over a network. A user identifier associated with the client device is passed to a payment service provider via a merchant system associated with the online market place. Dynamic content is generated by the payment service provider in response to the user identifier and subsequently served to the client device over the network.

A system and method to associate an electronic gift certificate with a payment services account to cause presentation of the electronic gift certificate based on meeting a predetermined condition. A method and system for facilitating online payments are disclosed. According to one aspect of the present invention, a payment agreement is established at a payment service provider that defines terms of a payment relationship between a merchant and a user. The establishing of the payment agreement includes linking the payment agreement with a payment account of the merchant or user stored at the payment service provider. After establishing the payment agreement, a payment request associated with a transaction is received, whereby the payment request includes a unique identifier to identify the payment agreement stored at the payment service provider. Based on a verification that the payment request complies with terms of the payment agreement, the payment request is processed.

Methods and systems for providing dynamic content during payment transactions are described herein. A user identifier stored on a client device of a user is transmitted to a payment service provider in response to the user's interaction with a user interface associated with a merchant. Based on the user identifier, dynamic content specific to the user is retrieved from the payment service provider. The dynamic content may include an available account balance with the payment service provider, merchant rating associated with the merchant, and other information that may assist the user in determining whether to engage in an online transaction with the merchant. The dynamic content may then be provided to the client device.

In an embodiment, a system comprises one or more processors.
