The present disclosure relates to a vehicle interior trim part with an integrated electrical or optical device, the vehicle interior trim part comprising a carrier and a connector element for connecting the electrical or optical device. The connector element comprises at least one connector pin operatively connected to the electrical or optical device, a guide element in which the connector pin is partially received, and which is adapted to provide a plug receptacle for a positive connection of the connector pin, and a base element extending substantially laterally with respect to the carrier.

Vehicle interior trim part with an integrated electrical or optical device

A molding tool and method for producing an interior trim part. A cavity is embodied between a first element and a second element, and a slide is displaceably connected to the first element. A decorative layer is arranged on the first element and a backing is arranged on the second element. A foamable mixture is added to the hollow area between the backing and a reverse side of the decorative layer, such that a foam layer fills the hollow area. A distance between the first element and the second element is increased to enlarge the hollow area. During this process, the slide is pressed against a side facing away from the reverse side of the decorative layer, such that the hollow area is sealed with the reverse side of the decorative layer pressed against a lateral surface of the backing and/or against a lateral surface of the second element.

Method for producing an interior trim part of a vehicle and molding tool

A trim element includes a body defining an outer surface of the trim element, at least part of the body being deformable and having a deformable guide surface extending in a first direction. The trim element further includes at least one actuating element having an actuating segment extending non-rectilinearly in the first direction. The actuating segment cooperates with the guide surface in an actuating area, the guide surface adopting the shape of the actuating segment in the actuating area. The actuating segment is movable relative to the body in the first direction such that the actuating area is movable and the body deforms when the actuating element is moved in the first direction.

Trim element comprising a deformable outer surface

A device for manufacturing inner trim elements which are formed by a rigid carrier and a cover layer, between which elements a polymer foam layer is arranged. The carrier is fixable on a first molding tool element, and the cover layer is fixable between the outer edge of the first molding tool element and the outer edge of a second molding tool element. In the molding tool, a cavity is formed between the carrier and the cover layer, wherein a foamable polymer is introducible into the cavity via at least one through-hole which is formed in the carrier and the first molding tool element. The distance between the first and the second molding tool element is enlargeable during the foaming process. At least one through-hole for an escape of air and reactively formed gases out of the cavity is formed in the carrier and in the first molding tool element.
