Methods and systems to build containers of uncategorized items are described. In some example embodiments, the methods and systems collect information from titles of items available for purchase within a network-based publication system, generate a title for a container of uncategorized items available for purchase within the network-based publication system that is based on the collected information, and associate two or more uncategorized items available for purchase within the network-based publication system to the container based on a comparison of titles of the two or more uncategorized items and the generated title for the container of uncategorized items.

A method and media are provided for managing feedback data that will be used for ranking search results. A plurality of user feedback data from more than one user can be aggregated into a search index. The user feedback data can be associated with one or more documents within the index such that the one or more documents can be ranked based on the type of feedback data that is aggregated. Once the documents have been ranked, the ranked documents can be provided to a requester.

Systems and methods of providing composite search results are disclosed. A search query may be received by a general purpose search engine of a first website from a user. At least one general purpose search result may be determined based on the search query using the general purpose search engine. The at least one general purpose search result may be based on a search of multiple websites. The at least one general purpose search result and the item listing information may be caused to be displayed concurrently on the first website to the user. Method and system is described to effectuate a single action upload of images from a mobile device. When the system detects activation of a visual control provided by an on-line service, the system activates a camera provided with the mobile device of the user, detects a resulting image captured by the camera, and uploads the resulting image from the mobile device of the user to a destination computing device. The destination computing device can be a server system associated with the on-line service.

Computer software operates on a server or a client-side computer to identify and analyze third-party links and contents in web pages to determine if a third-party content sill exists, is available, has changed, or disrupts a web browser. A third-party link or content can be removed, changed, or replaced. A user can be notified or given an option to handle changed third-party content. The server may remove the third-party link or content by changing an HTML file for the web page. The client-side computer may remove the third-party link or content by dynamically changing the rendered web page before it is displayed to the user.

A system and method of metadata refinement using behavioral patterns is disclosed. In some embodiments, user behavioral data for results of a search query is received. The results can include an untagged item and a plurality of tagged items. A determination can then be made that the tagged items have been assigned a plurality of types of metadata. The untagged item can then be identified as a candidate to be tagged with at least one of the plurality of types of metadata assigned to the tagged items. In some embodiments, the user behavioral data comprises clickstream data indicating that a user selected the untagged item and at least one of the tagged items during a single search event.

The system comprises a user interface comprising a visual control provided by an on-line service and a camera integration module. Systems and methods of providing composite search results are disclosed. A system may receive input via a user interface of a device accessing a first website, and determine item listing information of an item listed for sale on a second website based on the received input, with the second website being different from the first website. The system may cause the item listing information to be displayed on the first website on the device via the user interface, and enable the device to interact with the second website, via the user interface, regarding the item listed for sale by interacting with the item listing information being displayed on the first website.

Methods, computer-storage media, and graphical user interfaces are provided for identifying and presenting rich related sites for task-oriented search queries. Upon receipt of a search query input by a user, one or more query logs are analyzed to determine if the search query is a related to a task being performed by the user. If the query is determined to be a task-oriented search query, search results are identified, as is one or more Uniform Resource Locators (URLs) related to a particular search result. The related URL is presented to the user in association with the particular search result. Additional controls, e.g., search tools that facilitate querying of those URLs determined to be relevant to a particular search result, may also be provided to aid the user in performing the task at hand.
