A catalytic converter with a heating member for use in a motorcycle. It includes (a) a catalytic member installed in an exhaust pipe of a motorcycle for converting exhaust toxic gases to nontoxic gases; (b) a liquid petroleum gas heating member including an air mixer, a liquid petroleum gas tank which is connected to the air mixer, a solenoid valve which is connected between the liquid petroleum gas tank and the air mixer for controlling a flow rate of a liquid petroleum gas into the air mixer, and a nozzle which is located at one end of the catalytic member and is connected to the air mixer; (c) a control unit connected to the solenoid valve and an ignition member located in the nozzle, for controlling the solenoid valve and for igniting a mixture of the air and the liquid petroleum gas at the nozzle to heat the catalytic member when a sensor senses an initial cold starting temperature in the catalytic member below a light-off temperature; and (d) a battery wiring to the control unit.

An intermittent fuel-injection method for two-stroke engine, which is done by means of an injection nozzle mounted under a cylinder head or on cylinder wall so as to have fuel directly injected into a cylinder to mix the air inside the cylinder into a homogeneous mixture; a controller is used for controlling the fuel-injection timing and quantity; the controller determines the injection timing and quantity in accordance with the engine intake air flow quantity and engine rpm; under idle running or low-load running condition, an intermittent fuel-injection control method is used so as to enable an engine to perform one, two, three, four or five scavenging and exhaust cycles after one fuel-injection cycle in order to obtain a steady and high combustion efficiency.

Intermittent fuel-injection method and device for two-stroke engine

An auxiliary exhausting device for improving the scavenging efficiency and the combustion efficiency of a two-stroke engine is provided. The auxiliary exhausting device includes an inner rotating member and an outer rotating member both having an opening communicable with an auxiliary exhausting port, two timing wheels respectively fixed to the inner and outer members with the one, which is fixed to the inner member, driven by the crankshaft, a positive driving device rotating the outer member, and a controller responsive to the operating condition of the engine for so controlling the positive driving device that the outer member is always desiredly rotated.

Auxiliary exhausting device

An electromagnetic auxiliary exhausting device enabling a two-stroke engine to have an improved scavenging efficiency and an improved combustion efficiency is provided. The device includes an electromagnetic valve mounted on the engine cylinder, an actuator, and a controller responsive to an operating condition of the engine for controlling the actuator. The valve includes a movable valve needle component having a first seat surface, an immovable valve body having a second corresponding seat surface, a spring for tightly matching the seat surfaces against each other, and a coil energizable by a current pulse outputted from the actuator to result in an electromagnetic force capable of overcoming the force effected by the spring.

Electromagnetic auxiliary exhausting device

An air-assisted fuel injection applied in the two-stroke engine of flame-jet ignition type which a fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator valve establish stable fuel rail pressure. With respect to each cylinder, a pair of fuel injection electromagnetic valve inject fuel under this pressure. The injected fuel is not directly injected into the cylinder, but is blown into main combustion chamber in the cylinder and prechamber cavity in a torch-forming plug by high speed flowing air. The ignition is performed in such a manner that the pre-mixed fuel air mixture in the prechamber cavity is first ignited by a spark discharge to form specifically shaped flame jet which is injected from one or more orifices located on lower portion of the torch-forming plug so as to successively ignite the pre-mixed fuel air mixture in the main combustion chamber. The high speed flowing air is supplied in such a manner that a small air pump and an air pressure regulating valve provide constant pressure air and with respect to each cylinder, a pair of main air injection electromagnetic valve and subsidiary air injection electromagnetic valve properly inject high speed flowing air to assist in atomizing and transferring the fuel injected from the fuel injection electromagnetic valves.

The present invention relates to a fuel injection system driven by compressor. The system is used in two-stroke gasoline engine, wherein high speed air flow is applied to assist in fuel atomization and injection. The system works in such a manner that a fuel pump and fuel pressure regulating valve establish stable fuel injection pressure and fuel is injected under this stable pressure by a main fuel injector and a sub-fuel injector. The fuel is not directly injected into the cylinder, but blown into main combustion chamber of the cylinder and pre-combustion chamber of a torch-forming plug by little amount of high speed air flow supplied from a small compressor synchroinzed with the engine in operation, the high speed air flow being distributed by a distributor to flow into air passages of the main fuel injector and sub-fuel injector for blowing the injected fuel. The ignition is performed in such a manner that the pre-mixed fuel air mixture in the pre-combustion chamber is first ignited by the spark plug and is injected from a lower passage of the torch-forming plug in a flame pattern with specific shape to successively ignite pre-mixed fuel air mixture in main combustion chamber.

A solenoid-operated injector for an electronically controlled fuel oil injection system which serves to control fuel oil injection by means of a shift of a ball valve unit. The ball valve unit includes a flat armature and a ball valve, the flat armature is shifted, floatingly, without any guidance. As the ball valve unit is sucked and moved to an open state, the flat armature abuts against a thin plate having a high magnetic resistance. The top of the flat armature is acted upon by a compressed spring with the top end of the compressed spring abutting against a spring regulating tube, so that the spring force acting on the flat armature can be changed by adjusting the spring regulating tube. Both the compressed spring and ball valve are located in the magnetic stator of the solenoid coil with the flat armature and the ball valve being located such that the spring force normally biases the ball valve against the oblique cone concave on the top of the valve seat.

A low pressure fuel injection system, especially suitable to be applied to a two-stroke gasoline engine, mainly comprises a solenoid-operated fuel injector which is mounted on cylinder wall in order to inject fuel directly into cylinder.
