A sliding board, particularly a ski, comprising a sliding surface, an upper shell, optionally, a core, steel edges, an upper belt and a lower belt, and comprising at least one interface element, which is joined to the sliding board body and which is provided for mounting at least one binding element on the top surface of the sliding board. The interface element(s) is/are shaped onto lateral flanks that extend along the longitudinal sides of the ski. These lateral flanks are bound in the sliding board construction during the production of the sliding board.

An arrangement for longitudinal adjustment of two binding jaws of a ski binding has base parts which are guided for longitudinal displacement on guide elements attached to the ski. Strip-shaped or similar connecting elements extend parallel to one another in the direction of the other binding jaw. A fixing device interacts with the connecting elements. Raised portions of the connecting elements can be brought into and out of engagement with raised portions of the fixing device upon actuation of the fixing device by a relative movement parallel to the upper side of the ski. If the arrangement is blocked with ice or snow, functioning is ensured because the raised portions which can be brought into and out of engagement with one another are oriented essentially vertically in relation to the upper side of the ski.

The invention relates to an arrangement for changing the hardness, elasticity or rigidity of a sliding device for snow, which sliding device has a level of convexity which is predetermined during manufacture, having a stiffening device which can be fitted on the sliding device and can be changed, in terms of its action on the sliding device, by a control mechanism. The aim of the invention is, by changing the level of convexity, to be able to adapt the travelling properties of the sliding device to the respective skiing/snowboarding conditions in a particularly effective manner. This aim is achieved according to the invention in that a two-part stiffening device is arranged on the upper side of the sliding device, the sections of said stiffening device being connected to one another at the point of division by means of a spring system, and one section of the stiffening device being in engagement with a control mechanism by means of which the level of convexity of the sliding device, in relation to the non-loaded state thereof, can be set manually in two directions.

A front jaw which includes a housing adapted to be fastened to a ski. A release spring is housed in the housing. A spring extends through a pull rod loaded by the release spring. The pull rod acts through a release plate onto the shorter lever arms of two toggle levers pivotally arranged about vertical axes on a bearing part, and the longer lever arms of which are constructed as sole holders for a ski shoe. The bearing part has a through opening for the pull rod and a front facing support surface which rests at least partially on a rear facing crosswall of the housing. The crosswall is contiguous with an approximately horizontally rearwardly extending section, with the front support surface of the bearing part having two sections adjoining one another in elevational direction, the lower section of which defines an obtuse angle (.alpha.) with the upper section, with the rear facing crosswall of the housing extending essentially vertically and with a rearwardly and downwardly inclined surface being contiguous with the upper section of the front support surface. The bearing part consists of an upper element and a lower element, which elements are in the assembled state of use connected form-lockingly with one another, with the support surface being provided on the front side of both elements of the bearing part. The two toggle levers are supported on the lower element.

A ski brake, which can assume a skiing position and a braking position, having a base plate adapted to be fastened on a ski or a ski binding, and on which breaking levers, each having a braking arm and an operating arm, are arranged symmetrically with respect to a central longitudinal plane are pivotal about an axis extending essentially transversely with respect to the ski. A stepping plate is connected to the base plate through a connecting piece and is loaded upwardly by at least one operating spring. The operating spring is supported in the base plate and engages through at least one extension arm spaced from the connecting piece the underside of the stepping plate, with the point of engagement of the spring on the stepping plate being variable in longitudinal direction during a pivoting movement of the braking levers.

A front jaw having a housing receiving a release spring therein, through which housing extends a pull rod acting onto two toggle levers. In order to improve the release operation in such a front jaw, the invention provides that the housing has two bearing surfaces designated for a bearing part, which bearing surfaces are vertically spaced from the pull rod, and that the axles of the two toggle levers are arranged in the bearing part which rests in the skiing position under the influence of the release spring on the two bearing surfaces.
