A fuel injector for fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines has a solenoid operable via an electric wire, a valve sleeve in an injection-side area forming an external sheathing of the fuel injector, and a valve housing. The fuel injector has a plastic sleeve, which contains the solenoid and the electric wire and can be pushed onto the valve sleeve.

Fuel injector and method for assembling a fuel injector

A fuel injector for an internal combustion engine includes a solenoid coil which is actuable by an electrical line, a valve sleeve which forms an outer coat of the fuel injector in a discharge-side region, and a valve housing. The fuel injector further includes a plastic sleeve, which houses the solenoid coil and the electrical line. The plastic sleeve is slid over the valve sleeve in assembly. The plastic sleeve has two parts interconnected by a crosspiece, with a recess formed in a radial region adjacent to the region of the crosspiece.

Fuel injector

A fuel injector, in particular a fuel injector for fuel-injection systems of internal combustion engines, includes a piezoelectric or magnetostrictive actuator which is excitable via an electrical line and actuates a valve-closure member arranged in a housing, the valve-closure member cooperating with a valve-seat surface to form a sealing seat, and an hydraulic coupler. The hydraulic coupler is fixedly arranged between the actuator and a valve-assembly that includes the valve-closure member and the valve-seat surface.

Fuel injection valve

A sensor is used to sense a property relating to each one of a plurality of different elevational locations within a vertical plane that is normal to a length of an aircraft. The vertical plane passes through the doorway of the aircraft, and at least some of the plurality of different elevational locations are disposed outside a known surface boundary of the aircraft. A variation in the sensed property between two elevational locations is detected, the variation indicative of an elevational position of the known surface boundary. An elevational position of the doorway of the aircraft is determined based upon a known relationship between the known surface boundary and the doorway, and based upon the indicated elevational position of the known surface boundary. The determined elevational position of the doorway is used to guide an aircraft engaging portion of the movable bridge into elevational alignment with the said doorway.

A tubular spring is provided for preloading a piezoelectric or magnetostrictive actuator for the actuation of fuel injection valves for fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines. The tubular spring has at least two assembly engagements for uniform preloading of the tubular spring.

Tubular spring for actuator, and method for assembling the tubular spring

A fuel injector has a piezoelectric or magnetostrictive actuator, which actuates a valve-closure member cooperating with a valve-seat surface a sealing seat. An hydraulic coupler includes a master piston, a slave piston, and a coupler volume formed in-between, the coupler volume being connected to a compensating chamber via a throttle. An elastic flexible section delimits the compensating chamber at least partially, and the coupler volume, the throttle, and the compensating chamber are filled with an hydraulic medium. The flexible section exerts a pressure on the hydraulic medium due to prestressing, and the force of a compression spring, which is braced either directly and/or via fixed components on the slave piston and the master piston, is directed with an initial stress in such a way that the force enlarges the coupler volume.

Fuel-injection valve

A fuel injector is described for fuel injection systems in internal combustion engines that includes a magnet coil, an armature that is acted upon in a closing direction by a restoring spring, and a valve needle that is non-positively engaged with armature for actuating a valve closing body, which together with a valve seat surface forms a sealing seat, and armature with an inlet-side armature surface striking internal pole. A choke point is provided on inlet-side armature surface, and is formed by an annular, stepped prominence on inlet-side armature surface.

A fuel injector for the direct injection of fuel into the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine includes an actuator, which is encapsulated in a first sleeve and is sealed from an inner chamber of the fuel injector; a valve needle actuable by the actuator, which includes a valve-closure member cooperating with a valve-seat surface to form a sealing seat; and a locking spring, by which the valve needle is acted upon in such a manner that the valve-closure member is held in sealing contact at the valve-seat surface. An inflow-side end face of the first sleeve is dimensioned such that a linear deformation of the first sleeve, caused by the fuel pressure present at the inflow-side end face, is compensated by a linear deformation of the actuator and an activating piston extending the actuator.

A fuel injector () for the direct injection of fuel into the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine has a piezoelectric actuator () which is encapsulated in an actuator housing (); a valve needle () which is in operative connection with the actuator and on which a valve-closure member () is formed which forms a sealing seat together with a valve-seat surface (); and a nozzle body () into which the actuator housing () is able to be inserted. The actuator housing () and the nozzle body () are sealed by a common connecting part (), the connecting part () having a first and a second diameter step ().

A fuel injector for fuel-injection systems of internal combustion engines has a nozzle body and a magnetic coil positioned in a magnetic cup, the magnetic coil being penetrated by the nozzle body; and a plastic coating which at least partially surrounds the nozzle body. The nozzle body and the magnetic cup are sealed from an environment of the fuel injector by a thread-type labyrinth seal.

Fuel injection

A fuel injector, in particular for the direct injection of fuel into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine, includes a valve needle that has at its injector end a valve-closure member that works together with a valve-seat surface formed on a valve-seat member, to form a sealing seat. The fuel injector also includes at least one swirl duct; a swirl chamber formed on the valve-seat member, and a plurality of injection openings that open out from the swirl chamber, through which the fuel, provided with a swirl, is simultaneously injected. The at least one swirl duct is formed in the valve-seat member or in a swirl disk adjacent to the valve-seat member.

A fuel injector, in particular for direct injection of fuel into the combustion chamber of a mixture-compressing, spark-ignited internal combustion engine, comprises an armature that coacts with a magnet coil, and comprises a valve needle, joined nonpositively to the armature, on which is provided a valve-closure member that, together with a valve-scat surface, forms a sealing scat. The valve needle has, at an inflow end, a collar-shaped armature stop, configured integrally with the valve needle, against which the armature comes to a stop, an engaging flange engaging through the armature in such a way that the engaging flange is insertable into the inflow end of the valve needle and is joinable thereto.

A fuel injector for a fuel injection system of an internal combustion engine is described. The fuel injector has a fuel inlet connection piece for supplying fuel, a piezoelectric or magnetostrictive actuator, which is sealed off from the fuel by a seal, and a valve closing body actuatable by the actuator via a valve needle. The valve closing body working together with a valve seat surface to form a seal seat. The seal includes an inlet-side gasket, which is arranged between the fuel inlet connection piece and the actuator, and an actuator jacket that is elastically deformable in a longitudinal direction and is connected to the inlet-side gasket.

A fuel injector () for fuel injector systems of internal combustion engines has a valve-closure member () which is mechanically linked to a valve needle () and cooperates with a valve-seat surface () of a valve-seat member () to form a sealing seat. A turbulence-producing element is provided in the valve-seat member (), situated downstream from the sealing seat, and its center line () preferably forms an angle different from zero with the center line () of the fuel injector (), a threaded rod () being pressed into the valve-seat member () as the turbulence-producing element.

A fuel injector, in particular a fuel injector for fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines, has a piezoelectric or magnetostrictive actuator, a valve closing element that can be actuated by the actuator and that works together with a valve seat face to form a seal seat, and a temperature compensation device. The temperature compensation device has a housing that is elastically deformable along a direction of actuation of the actuator, and has at least one throttle that connects an interior space of the housing with a fuel inlet of the fuel injector. The cross-section of this throttle is dimensioned such that an entry and exit of fuel into the housing of the temperature compensation device is enabled when there is a temperature-caused change in length of components of the fuel injector.
