Elastomeric plain bearing having switchable rigidity

A controllable hydraulic bearing for damping vibrations in a defined frequency band is proposed, which includes an elastomeric body (), two chambers which are filled with a magneto-rheological fluid and connected with one another by at least one channel (), with the chambers having at least partially flexible chamber walls, wherein the buckling spring rate of the chamber walls represents a measure for a pressure change due to the volume displacement between the chambers, and at least one electromagnet which generates a magnetic field in the region of the channel (). According to the invention, the magnetic field in the region of the channel () is an inhomogeneous magnetic field.

Controllable hydraulic bearing

A hydraulic bearing with biaxial damping with an axial and radial damping characteristics essentially independent of one another. The hydraulic bearing including a housing and an axially and radially operating elastomeric damping arrangement received therein. Several chambers are adapted to receive a hydraulic damping device and formed, with respect to the axial and radial orientation of the bearing, in pairs, with each chamber pair interconnected by at least one channel. The upper housing section is constructed as a support body including an inner core, and the outer wall of the upper housing section radially separated from the inner core, and a spring connected with the inner core and the outer wall by vulcanization. The hydraulic bearing is modular, wherein the chambers affecting the radial damping are part of a bush bearing which is inserted in the support body as a separate component and non-positively and/or positively connected thereto.

Hydraulic bearing with biaxial damping

An elastomer bush bearing, wherein the bearing body () is encapsulated through axial flanges () of the outer bearing sleeve (), with the bush bearing having an elastomer bearing body () with a special profile in the axial direction. The bearing body () is employed in constructing the bush bearing of the invention, which is capable of supporting high radial loads even with low radial stiffness and without adversely affecting its stability and service life. The two axial end faces () of the bearing body () each have undulated contours which extend in the circumferential direction (u) in the same direction, both with respect to one another and also over the entire region of the material thickness (d) of the bearing body (). The end faces () of the bearing body () thus have wave troughs () and wave crests (), whereby the corresponding wave troughs () of both end faces () and their wave crests () are formed so as to face one another, and each extend radially over the entire material thickness (d) of the bearing body () in the respective circumferential segment.

Bush bearing with bearing body having an axial profile

A limit stop with an elastomer resilient element, which is to be secured on a door or lid and/or on an opposing stationary vehicle section for damping forces generated when the door or lid strikes stationary chassis parts of a motor vehicle. The limit stop includes an additional damping section disposed adjacent to and cooperating with the elastic resilient element in a spring deflection direction of the resilient element. The damping section comprises at least two chambers filled with a fluid and a nozzle plate arranged between the chambers with at least one channel extending through the nozzle plate and connecting the chambers. The fluid is displaced from one of the chambers into the other chamber during a spring deflection of the elastomer resilient element, thereby producing a pressure force which is caused by the buildup in pressure when the volume of one of the chambers decreases and augments the return force of the resilient element.

Limit stop for a door or lid of a motor vehicle

The invention relates to a stop element () for a hydraulic bearing and a hydraulic bushing equipped therewith. The proposed hydraulic stop element () with a stop body (') and a stop surface () is implemented as a piston-cylinder-assembly with an elastomeric bearing () with at least two work chambers for a fluidic damping means. The cylinder () of this piston-cylinder-assembly is inserted into the solid material surrounding the outer surface of a metallic element of the elastomeric support () which delimits the corresponding work chamber (&#x2032;) of the elastomeric bearing () perpendicular to the main load direction (r). A piston (&#x2032;) which forms the stop body with a stop surface () is movably guided in the cylinder () in the main load direction (r) of the elastomeric bearing. A buffer () is arranged on the bottom of the cylinder (), with at least one throttle channel () which is connected for flow-conduction with the work chamber (&#x2032;) of the elastomeric bearing extending through the side wall.

Stop element for hydraulic bearing and hydraulic bushing equipped therewith

A hydraulically damping elastomer bearing has at least one housing (), a connection element (), an elastomer body (), which couples the housing () and the connection element () with one another in a vibration-damping manner. Two chambers () filled with a fluid are provided as well as at least one flow channel (), which connects the chambers () to one another. A recess () in the housing () is associated with the flow channel (). A valve () is present in the recess () for opening and closing the flow channel (). An actuator () is provided for actuating the valve () on the outside of the housing (). The valve () includes an elastic diaphragm (), in which an insert () is embedded.

Hydraulically damping elastomer bearing

An elastomer bearing with hydraulic damping is disclosed which includes a housing (), a connecting element (), an elastomer body () which couples the housing () and the connecting element () with one another for damping oscillations, two chambers () filled with a magneto-rheological fluid, at least one flow channel () connecting the chambers () with one another for fluid conduction, as well as an actuator () associated with the flow channel and attached on the outside of the housing () for generating a magnetic field. According to the invention, a field return element () with interacts with the actuator is arranged on or in the flow channel ().

Elastomer bearing with hydraulic damping

An elastomer bush bearing is disclosed with at least one axial limit stop. An elastomeric bush bearing is provided with a damping characteristic that can be adapted to the respective application and/or to changing preloads. The bearing is constructed in that a stop face formed on the bearing body and the opposing stop face, arranged on the inner sleeve or on a stop element supported by the inner sleeve, which can be rotated relative to each other in the circumferential direction of the bearing by an actuator or can be displaced relative to each other in the axial direction. The mutual separation between the stop faces determined by the gap changes simultaneously with a corresponding relative motion of the stop faces effected by a rotation of the actuator.

Elastomer bush bearing with axial limit stop

A hydraulically damping bush bearing () has an inner part () with a hole () extending along a longitudinal axis (); an outer sleeve () surrounding the inner part (); an elastomeric damping member () arranged between the inner part () and the outer sleeve (); and at least two chamber pairs () with at least two separate chambers () each, which are filled with a hydraulic fluid. The two chambers () of a first chamber pair () are arranged axially along the longitudinal axis () and the two chambers () of a second chamber pair () are arranged radially in relation to the longitudinal axis () and are arranged in the axial direction of the longitudinal axis () between the two chambers () of the first chamber pair (); a channel carrier (), which connects to one another the two chambers () each of one of the chamber pairs () via at least one damping channel () each arranged in or at the channel carrier (); and an outer bush (), which surrounds the elastomeric damping member (), the outer sleeve (), the channel carrier () as well as the at least two chamber pairs (). The chambers () of the first chamber pair () and the chambers () of the second chamber pair () overlap in some areas at least an axial partial section (A, B) in relation to the longitudinal axis ().

Hydraulically damping bush bearing

A hydraulically damping bush bearing is provided with hydraulic area formed from at least two chamber pairs, wherein each chamber pair is formed from at least two separate chambers, which are connected to one another via at least one damping channel. The hydraulically damping bearing with damping in both the axial direction and the radial direction is further improved to the effect that damping or stiffness that can be switched off or on depending on the operating state is also made possible. The hydraulically damping bush bearing () chambers () of the chamber pairs () can be connected via a closable chamber wall opening ().

Switchable hydraulically damping bush bearing

A rubber bearing with a bearing body implemented as an elastomer spring, wherein the spring travel of the bearing body is limited in at least one damping direction by path delimiters. The path delimiter(s) are formed by at least two corresponding stop elements, whereby the spring travel of the elastomer bearing body in the respective direction is determined by the spacing or gap between the stop faces of the stop elements which form the path delimiter. The rubber bearing is constructed so that it can adapt to changing preloads. The path delimiter is designed so that the position of one of its stop elements can be changed, the spacing between the stop face of this stop element and that of the corresponding stop element can be changed, and the new position of the corresponding stop element can be fixed again. The position of the stop element is changed by an actuator arranged on the bearing or by temporarily loosening a locking means and passively tracking the position of the stop element according to the preload.

Rubber bearing with path delimiters

A hydraulically damping rubber mount is provided with a variable channel length. The mount channel length can be adapted to the later intended use with a simple design during the manufacture without changing the design. The hydraulic mount has an elastomeric damping member, at least two chambers to accommodate a fluid damping agent and a channel carrier with a channel connecting the chambers in a flow-conducting manner. The channel has passage openings to the chambers. An incompletely closed ring, one end of which forms a channel deflection, is displaceably guided in the channel in the manner according to the present invention. The channel is divided as a result into two channel parts, which unite between the ends of the ring and through which the damping agent flows in opposite directions.

Hydraulically damping rubber bearing

A spring rate-switchable engine bearing with a supporting bearing element and a supporting element is presented, which has at least two spring elements arranged in parallel or in series between the supporting bearing element and the supporting element. One ofthe spring elements can be blocked by a switching device, in which the switching device has a double toggle mechanism. Extraordinarily high axial forces in the range of >10 kN can be transmitted due to this design according to the present invention in the blocked state of the spring element, and an especially compact design is also obtained due to this design at the same time. Moreover, a lightweight and small motor operator drive can be directly integrated in the engine bearing according to the present invention due to the extraordinarily high power amplification of the double toggle mechanism being used without additional supplementary components being necessary outside the bearing.

Springrate controlled motor bearing

An upper MacPherson strut step bearing for wheel suspensions in a motor vehicle. The MacPherson strut step bearing includes a metallic housing that is pot-shaped in the vertical section, a rubber buffer arranged in the housing, and a support piece, which can be connected to a shock absorber and protrudes with radially extending projections into the rubber buffer that is rigidly connected to it. A radially directed housing flange forms an abutment for an annular spring buffer made of an elastomeric material, against which the top end of a coil spring of the MacPherson strut, which coil spring surrounds the shock absorber, is supported. Recesses, which influence the axial damping characteristic of the MacPherson strut step bearing, are provided in the spring buffer. The metallic housing is connected to a cover plate, which passes over at the outer wall into a jacket ring, which is directed downward and projects beyond the spring buffer.
