1. Release agent spray device for a casting machine. 2.1. The invention relates to a release agent spray device for a casting machine, having one or more spray nozzles () and discharge means for the controlled discharge of release agent from the respective spray nozzle. 2.2. According to the invention, the discharge means comprise at least one dosing unit () which is assigned to at least one spray nozzle () and which defines, in advance, a release agent quantity to be discharged by the at least one associated spray nozzle in an impending spray burst and which provides said release agent quantity, separated from a release agent supply, for discharge in the impending spray burst. 2.3. Use for example for metal pressure-die-casting machines.

Release agent spray device for a casting machine

A spray head is described for spraying the molds in pressure casting machines, and in it spray nozzles are mounted on bars equipped with supply passages, which form units which can be placed together. To fit these bar units together, coupling elements in the form of cylindrical pins provided with passages are provided, which are provided with recesses having sloping planes which are engaged by the conical tips of Allen screws and thus produce a clamping together of adjacent bar units. The coupling elements are provided at both end faces with sealing rings and their bore aligns with the passages in the bars. Through the use of angle pieces media supply bars bearing spray nozzles can be joined together at any angle to one another.

A spray head for a spraying tool for spraying the halves of a casting tool is described, in which the connection is made to a traveling arm provided with the media-carrying passages through distributing blocks disposed one under the other, from which the connection is made to spray bars through cross connections. The new configuration is selected such that the connection of the spray bars can be made selectively to the one or other of the media passages. By arranging a plurality of distributing blocks together, the addition of spray bars can also be performed stack-wise at varying distances from the particular distributing block.

In a spray element for a spray head for spraying the molds of pressure casting machines, a control piston for the release of the parting agent supply is disposed beside the spray nozzle and a connecting passage opens in a chamber of the housing in which one end of the control piston is sealingly guided, while its second end lies with a sealing ring before a chamber fed with parting agent. In the case of the application of control air the sealing ring is shifted out of its cylindrical sectioninto the chamber, so that the feed of parting agent to the spray nozzle is released. If the control air is shut off, then the sealing ring closes the delivery of the parting agent, and the second, larger end of the control piston exercises upon its return movement a reverse suction effect on the connecting passage. Any after-dripping of parting agent is securely prevented.
