A butterfly valve device (), particularly an electrically actuated butterfly valve device () e.g. for use in an intake manifold of an internal combustion engine is designed in such a way that the effort required for assembling the intake manifold can be reduced while the requirements regarding dimensional tolerances and tightness can be met and the number of parts is minimized. This aim is achieved by the fact that at least one housing part () of the butterfly valve device () is embodied monolithically along with an intake pipe () that is disposed upstream or downstream of the butterfly valve device ().

In order to simplify an electrical connection device for injection devices, to make them more reliable and to simplify their installation, it is proposed that the electrical connection device has a printed circuit board () with printed circuit board tracks () arranged thereon, and the printed circuit board tracks () lead from a connector area to a respective coil, whereby the coils on the printed circuit board () are conductively arranged, and the printed circuit board, the connector area and the coils are injection-molded with plastic as a single piece and produce a structural unit.

An internal combustion engine has an intake device (), the intake pipes (to) for the intakes of cylinders of the internal combustion engine and actuators for adjusting the effective pipe lengths of the intake pipes (to) by closing or opening at least one opening of the intake pipes (to) up to a hollow body and at least one actuator for controlling the actuators. Within a first speed range whose upper limit is a first threshold value (N), the actuators are moved into a closed position. For a speed (N), exceeding a first threshold value (N) and being less than a second threshold value (N), the actuators are moved into a leakage position. For a speed exceeding the second threshold value (N), the actuators are moved into an open position.
