An adjustable suction pipe assembly for use in a liquid transfer system including at least first and second pipe members wherein one end of the second pipe member includes a seal member and wherein the second pipe member is frictionally insertable within the first pipe member, the seal member being slidably adjustable along the length of the first pipe member. The seal member is oriented such that a portion thereof extends away from the outside diameter of the second pipe member and sits in a space formed between the engagement of the first and second pipe members. If the fluid level within the supply tank is below the location of the seal member, atmospheric air which may enter the first pipe member at a location above the seal member will force the seal member against the inside diameter of the first pipe member thereby further sealing the connection therebetween.

Adjustable suction pipe assembly with improved pressure activated seal

A three-sided disposable cutting blade for use within a utility knife. The cutting blade features between three and six distinct cutting portions. The cutting blade may be rotated and flipped such that each cutting portion may be presented from the utility knife as the active cutting portion. Features of the cutting blade include a wear-coat indicator which is located at or near each cutting portion and indicates when a portion has been used; grippable locations on the body of the blade to increase the grippibility of the blade when removing and handling the blade; multiple mounting-hole orientations; and mass-reducing punch-outs which reduce cutting friction of the blade against the object being cut.

Utility knife blades having multiple cutting portions and securing connections

A utility knife employing a blade having multiple cutting portions, and a housing for quickly and simply swapping out one cutting portion for another. In a preferred embodiment, a six-cutting-portion featured blade is employed. Each point of the six-cutting-portion featured blade features two distinct cutting portions, for a total of six cutting portions located on a single blade. The blade can be rotated about a central axis to expose new cutting portions as old portions wear and dull. In another embodiment, a single-edged blade featuring two cutting faces is housed in a knife handle. The blade can be flipped when the first portion is dull or worn to expose a second cutting face. The handle may optionally include a storage space for storing additional blades.

Utility knife apparatus with blades having multiple cutting portions

A retractable blade knife includes a body, a handle lever and a blade holder assembly. The blade holder assembly is mounted to the distal end of the body to pivot between a retracted position in which a cutting edge is concealed within the body and an extended position in which a cutting edge is exposed. The handle lever is mounted to the body at a pivot joint that is located between the opposite ends of both the lever member and the body so that the handle lever can pivot between an open position and a closed position. A pin at the distal end of the handle lever is received for sliding movement by a slot in the blade holder assembly so that when the handle lever is urged from the open position to the closed position, the blade holder assembly rotates from the retracted position to the extended position.

Utility knife with retractable blade

A knife that consist of a handle with a lockable and rotatable cutter head. The handle has a locking mechanism that secures the cutter head in numerous cutting positions and also in a safety position. The cutter head contains the blade. After the edges get dull the blade can be rotated within the cutter head to allow for the use of new cutting edges. The blade can easily be replaced by loosening the cutter head pivot bolt. The cutter head and pivot bolt remain attached to the knife during this process.
