A bearing assembly includes a bearing having a first bearing ring, a second bearing ring rotatably disposed relative to the first bearing ring, and a plurality of rolling elements in a bearing interior defined by the first bearing ring and the second bearing ring. Also, at least one layer of non-metallic material on the first bearing ring configured to conduct heat away from the first bearing ring and to electrically insulate the first bearing ring and to fill at least one cavity between the first bearing ring and a component to which the first bearing ring is mounted. The at least one layer may be a first layer of a heat-conducting material and a second layer of a different, electrically insulating material.

A method for installing a bearing assembly on a stationary component where the bearing assembly includes a bearing carrier, a stationary bearing ring rotationally secured to the bearing carrier and a rotatable bearing ring supported for rotation relative to the first bearing ring. The method includes inserting a portion of the bearing carrier into an opening in the stationary component or inserting a portion of the stationary component into the bearing carrier, using an alignment tool to position at least two exposed radial surface portions of the stationary bearing ring with a surface of the stationary component to produce a temporary alignment of a rotational axis of the stationary bearing ring with a central axis of the stationary component, after producing the temporary alignment, attaching the bearing carrier to the stationary component in a manner that maintains the alignment, and removing the alignment tool from the bearing ring.

Method for installing a bearing assembly on a stationary component

A cup assembly for a pin of a universal joint bearing includes a cup, a first seal ring attached to the cup, and a second seal ring. The first seal ring includes an elastic element and a spring element configured to preload the elastic element toward the pin, the second seal ring includes a dimensionally stable seal section that is configured to sealingly interact with the pin, and the second seal ring is connected to the cup either directly, or via the elastic element or via an elastic retainer. A structural unit for assembly to a trunnion of a universal joint bearing providing a cup, a sealing ring, which is fixed to the cup, and a shield, which is connected to the cup in a state in which the structural unit is not assembled to the trunnion. Bearing arrangement and method for producing same

A roller bearing comprises an inner ring, an outer ring and an annular cage. The annular cage retains and guides at least one roller body. The annular cage comprises at least one pocket for retaining the roller body and at least one retaining rim disposed on one axial end of the pocket.
