In an insulating glazing unit including at least one curved rigid pane, another rigid pane and a spacer frame joining the two panes together by an impermeable adhesive, a space is created between the panes. The spacer frame has a variable cross-section over its length, looking in the direction of its longitudinal extension, in the region of the joining between the curved rigid pane and the other rigid pane. The spacer frame, in at least in the aforementioned region, includes a plastically deformed elastomer material when the two rigid panes are mutually pressed together.

Insulating glazing unit comprising a curved pane

A glass pane is provided. A marking field that includes an uneven surface structure is located on a limited area of a smooth side surface of the glass pane. The limited area is smaller than a total area of the side surface of the glass pane, and the uneven surface structure is more rough than portions of the side surface of the glass pane that are outside of the limited area of the side surface of the glass pane. A marking layer is located on the marking field so as to create an intimate adhesive bond between the marking layer and the marking field. The marking layer includes a color containing a thermochromic pigment that visually indicates that a heat treatment has been carried out on the glass pane by being irreversibly modified at a temperature at which the heat treatment is conducted.

Glass segments including identification marking

A method for visual marking of heat-treated substrates, in particular tempered glass panes. The method modifies a marking layer deposited on a surface of the substrate, that visually indicates that the heat treatment has been carried out, and produces a rough marking field on the surface of the substrate that the marking layer deposited on the substrate exhibits intimate adhesive bonding thereto, which marking layer cannot be completely removed using a mechanical mechanism.

Marking heat-treated substrates

A plate element including at least one rigid pane, in particular a pane of glass, which bears an electrically conductive coating that heats by applying an electrical voltage via connectors, and an electrically conductive partial surface, which is electrically isolated from the coating and provided with at least one electrical connector of its own. The partial surface is provided for connection to a ground potential.

Layered heating plate element

A solar module containing thin-film solar cells positioned between two plates separated by a border seal at the external edge of the plates. The border seal includes an elastomeric spacer that contains a moisture-absorbing medium and is coated with an external peripheral adhesive bead.
