A bidirectional hub assembly includes an axle unit, a hub shell mounted on the axle unit, a driving unit mounted on the axle unit, and a plurality of right-hand-drive and left-hand-drive units that are mounted to the hub shell. Each of the right-hand-drive and left-hand-drive units has a pawl engageable with the driving unit. The bidirectional hub assembly serves as a right-hand-drive hub when the pawl of at least one of the right-hand-drive units is in an enabled state and the pawl of each of the left-hand-drive units is in a disabled state, and serves as a left-hand-drive hub when the pawl of at least one of the left-hand-drive units is in an enabled state and the pawl of each of the right-hand-drive units is in a disabled state.

Bidirectional hub assembly

A hub module includes an axle member, a hub shell mounted on the axle member, at least two sprocket carriers, and a pair of end caps respectively secured to opposite ends of the axle member. Each of the sprocket carriers includes a carrier body having an outer profile, and a bearing unit mounted in the carrier body. The outer profiles of the carrier bodies of the sprocket carriers are different from each other. The bearing units of the sprocket carriers are the same in total length and inner diameter. Any one of the sprocket carriers is able to be mounted on a carrier-mounting section of the axle member and cooperates with the axle member and the hub shell to serve as a hub assembly.

Hub module

A hub assembly for a bicycle includes a hub shell, a plurality of pawl units, and an annular ratchet member. The hub shell is rotatably mounted on a hub axle, and the annular ratchet member is disposed to rotate with respect to the hub axle. Each pawl unit includes a pawl that is movable between driven and idle positions, an elongated mount that extends to bridge a gap formed in the pawl, and a biasing member that is mounted on the elongated mount to bias the pawl to move to the driven position so as to engage to the annular ratchet member.

Hub assembly for a bicycle

A power-generating wheel hub includes a hub shaft including a mounting section, and a bobbin including a tubular body sleeved around the mounting section, two flange plates connected respectively to two opposite ends of the tubular body, and a coil wound around the tubular body. Two magnetic yoke disks are sleeved on the mounting section adjacent respectively to outer faces of the flange plates, and each includes a plurality of angularly spaced-apart radial protrusions, and a plurality of indentations each formed between two adjacent ones of the radial protrusions. The indentations in the two magnetic yoke disks are staggered axially with respect to each other. Magnetic yoke claws respectively include radial arms inserted respectively into the indentations in the magnetic yoke disks and abutting against the outer faces of the flange plates, and axial arms extending axially from the respective radial arms and arranged annularly around the coil.

Power-generating wheel hub

An electrical connector for a dynamo hub includes a fastening component, a hollow insulating component formed with first and second accommodating spaces and a passage, and an electrode unit including at least one electrode plate that has a welding section disposed in the second accommodating space. The fastening component includes a metallic surrounding wall adapted to be sleeved on a hub axle of the dynamo hub, and having an inner surface formed with a positioning protrusion to be inserted into a groove in the hub axle, and a radial through hole extending from the inner surface to the outer surface and to be radially aligned with the groove in the hub axle. The first accommodating space retains the fastening component therein, and the passage is in spatial communication with the first and second accommodating spaces and is radially aligned with the radial through hole.

Electrical connector for a dynamo hub

A hub assembly for a bicycle includes a hub shell rotatably mounted on a hub axle, a plurality of pawls disposed respectively in retreat bores in the hub shell to be moved between driven and idle positions, a chainring carrier rotatably mounted on the hub axle, a surrounding drive member coupled with the chainring carrier and having an annular ratchet segment to be coupled with the pawls so as to form a uni-directional mechanism, and an annular barrier member that confronts an annular insertion opening in the hub shell, and a shielding member including a rim which is water-tightly engaged with the insertion opening, and an annular flexible web body which has a tubular tail portion that is kept in frictional contact with a protrusion of the annular barrier member.

A hub driving assembly is adapted to uni-directionally transmit a driving force of a sprocket to rotate a hub, and includes a sprocket-mounting cylinder having retreat bores which respectively extend from a tubular end surface through an outer cylindrical surface, and positioning holes which extend axially from the tubular end surface. A plurality of pawls are disposed in the retreat bores, and are biased by biasing members in the retreat bores to be movable between a driving position, where the pawls extend radially and outwardly for engaging the hub, and an idle position, where the pawls retreat into the retreat bores. A barrier member includes a ring abutment and a plurality of inserts fitted into the positioning holes to bring the ring abutment into abutment against the tubular end surface so as to prevent removal of the pawls and the biasing members from the bores.

Hub driving assembly for transmitting a driving force from a sprocket to rotate a hub of a bicycle

A small generator with collective multiple magnetic poles includes a magnet, multiple magnetic poles arranged in an annular shape and facing to the magnet, an annular iron core having its outer circumference combined with the multiple magnetic poles spaced apart and equidistantly. The iron core forms magnetic circuits for the magnetic poles so as to let magnetic lines of force to pass through. A sheet-shaped coil is combined on each magnetic pole so that when the magnet is rotated around the iron core with the magnetic poles, the sheet-shaped coil may generate alternate electric current. The sheet-shaped coils are quickly made by mechanical process, with magnetic wires requited for the coils reduced a lot.

Generator in a wheel of a bicycle with collective multiple magnetic poles

A hub assembly for a bicycle includes a hub shell adapted to be rotatably mounted on a hub axle, and having a plurality of angularly displaced retreat bores for receiving pawls, respectively, a flywheel mounting cylinder rotatably mounted on the hub axle and having a tubular coupling wall confronting the retreat bores, and an annular drive member including a coupling segment which is coupled to and which is rotated with the tubular coupling wall, and a toothed segment which extends into an annular accommodation space between the hub shell and the hub axle to be coupled with the pawls radially so as to form a uni-directional mechanism for driving the hub shell to rotate in a clockwise direction.

A brakable wheel hub device includes a wheel hub shell having a first surrounding threaded portion and a disk securing portion spaced apart from each other to define a disk mounting space for receiving a brake disk. The disk securing portion has a plurality of axially extending insert holes and engaging holes angularly displaced from and disposed alternately with one another. A positioning ring has a plurality of axially extending protrusions and brake stabilizing members angularly displaced from and disposed alternately with one another so as to pass through the brake disk for insertion into the insert and engaging holes, respectively. A surrounding locking member has a second surrounding threaded portion threadedly engaging the first surrounding threaded portion, and an abutting portion abutting against the positioning ring.

Brakable wheel hub device

A free-wheel hub assembly includes an axle co-axially extending through a spoke-mounting hub and having a right axle portion disposed outwardly of a right end of the spoke-mounting hub. A tubular sleeve is sleeved on the axle, and is disposed in a right recess defined by the right end of the spoke-mounting hub. A self-lubricating bearing is sleeved on the tubular sleeve, is disposed in the right recess, and has an inner surface in sliding contact with the tubular sleeve. A sprocket mounting member is sleeved on the right axle portion, and has an annular coupling end which extends into the right end of the spoke-mounting hub and which is in sliding contact with an outer surface of the self-lubricating bearing.

Free-wheel hub assembly

A brakable wheel hub device includes a hub shell adapted to be rotatably mounted on an axle, and having a disk securing portion which has an internally threaded section and a plurality of insert holes at a right end thereof that contacts a brake disk. A positioning ring is disposed outboard to the brake disk, and has a plurality of axially extending protrusions which pass through the brake disk and which are fitted into the insert holes so as to place the brake disk in a spline engagement with the hub shell. A surrounding locking member has an insert segment with an externally threaded section to threadedly engage the internally threaded section through the brake disk, and an abutting segment to abut against the positioning ring, thereby securing the brake disk relative to the hub shell.

A brakable wheel hub device includes a hub shell adapted to be rotatably mounted on a wheel axle. A spoke mounting member has a securing wall portion surrounding an axis and extending radially to confront and to be fastened to a brake disk, and a surrounding wall portion extending from the securing wall portion axially and confronting the hub shell radially to confine a surrounding space therebetween. A force transmitting member is received in the surrounding space, and has two frictional engaging surfaces to respectively and frictionally engage the hub shell and the surrounding wall portion such that the spoke mounting member is synchronously rotated with the hub shell.

A free-wheel hub assembly includes an axle extending through a hub and having an annular axle flange projecting radially and outwardly therefrom into a right recess defined by a right end of the hub. A self-lubricating bearing is slidably sleeved on the axle flange. A sprocket-mounting member is sleeved on the axle flange, and has an annular coupling end which extends into the right recess and which is in sliding contact with the self-lubricating bearing. An inner bearing is sleeved on the axle and abuts against one end of the axle flange. An outer bearing is sleeved on the axle and abuts against the other end of the axle flange. A ratchet unit is coupled to the sprocket-mounting member and the hub.

A hub and axle assembly for a bicycle includes a hub shell rotatably mounted on an axle extending along an axis. A rolling member is interposed between and cooperates with a curved surrounding race portion of a mounting sleeve member secured on the axle and a curved surrounding race member to serve as an anti-friction bearing. A tubular mount member has a tubular engaging portion to engage a left wall segment of the hub shell, and a tubular mount portion extending outwardly of the hub shell to be driven by a uni-directional driving sprocket wheel mechanism. A retaining member is disposed to prevent the mounting sleeve member from moving away from the rolling member.
