Multi-party data science collaboration

A solid state drive is provided for improving write consistency when replicating data. The solid state drive includes a plurality of memory die, a host interface, and a memory controller. The memory controller is configured to receive write commands from a host server, update a list of write commands and a status of execution of the write commands to include the write commands from the host server, and write data payloads associated with the write commands to at least a first memory die and a second memory die of the plurality of memory die. In response to the data payloads being written, the memory controller is configured to update the status of execution for the data payloads in the list of write commands and receive an indication that the data payloads have been written to an external device.

Systems and methods for strong write consistency when replicating data

Systems and methods are described herein that provide storage array side write locking. In embodiments, data is on storage arrays that are shared by a plurality of clients, and the storage array prevents write contentions on the shared data by employing a storage array side write locking strategy that uses a write lock table to determine whether requested data is currently being serviced by one of the plurality of clients. For example, upon receiving a request for data, the storage array checks a lock table to determine whether any of the requested data is currently write locked (which indications current use of the data). If the grains are not write locked, then the data request may be allowed. If the grains are write locked, then the data request may be denied. In embodiments, the storage array takes steps to determine whether write locks have become stale and should be removed.

Storage array side write locking

A storage architecture of a storage system environment has a storage connector interface configured to exchange data directly between flash storage devices on a server and a storage array of the environment so as to bypass main memory and a system bus of the server. According to one or more embodiments, the storage connnector interface includes control logic configured to implement the data exchange in accordance with one of a plurality of operational modes that deploy and synchronize the data on the flash storage devices and the storage array. Advantageously, the storage connector interface obviates latencies and bandwidth consumption associated with prior data exchanges over the main memory and bus, thereby enhancing storage architecture performance.

A computer program product having a computer readable medium tangibly recording computer program logic for performing analytics on data at a data node, the computer program product including code to instruct a storage array to create a snapshot of the data, code to access the snapshot, by the data node, as an independent virtual volume, code to receive, at the data node, a command mapping a processing task to the data node, in which the processing task includes analysis on the data, and code to perform the processing task on the data by accessing the data through the snapshot.

The first and second network nodes may comprise first and second input/output (I/O) processors, respectively. The first I/O processor may cause, in response to a first request, both the execution of a first data storage-related operation associated with the first set of mass storage devices and the issuance of a second request from the first network node to the second network node via the link to cause the second I/O processor to perform, in response to the second request, a second data storage-related operation associated with the second set of mass storage devices.
