This application provides a data transmission method and apparatus. The method includes: processing, by a network device, a to-be-sent optical data unit ODU to obtain another ODU, where a bit rate of the another ODU is lower than a bit rate of the ODU; and sending, by the network device, the another ODU. In embodiments of this application, the ODU is processed to obtain the another ODU with a lower bit rate, and this helps reduce a rate increase when service data is transmitted in an OTN, so as to reduce an OTN interface rate and OTN costs.

A multi-waveband OFDM receiver and a frequency offset compensation method and system are disclosed. The method includes: performing single waveband frequency offset estimation on an optical comb line of each order; classifying the optical comb lines into a low mutation optical comb line and a high mutation optical comb line; performing joint frequency offset estimation on the low mutation optical comb line; and performing compensation for a frequency offset of a radio frequency drive signal by using an estimated joint frequency offset. The present invention improves accuracy and reliability of the frequency offset estimation of the radio frequency drive signal, so that the degree of the compensation for the frequency offset of the radio frequency drive signal is more comprehensive and accurate.

Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and an apparatus for allocating optical spectrum bandwidth resources. The method includes: first determine bandwidth of an OTUbase according to optical-layer frequency grid bandwidth and carrier spectrum efficiency; then construct an HO OTUflex according to bandwidth of customer service data and the bandwidth of the OTUbase, bandwidth of the HO OTUflex is a first integer multiple of the bandwidth of the OTUbase; map the customer service data into a payload area of the HO OTUflex and encapsulate overhead information; at last, modulate the HO OTUflex that carries the customer service data to a second integer number of optical channel carriers. The embodiments of the present invention apply to a scenario where customer service data is transported.

Method and apparatus for allocating optical spectrum bandwidth resources

A bandwidth adjusting method and a communication node are provided. The adjusting method includes: sending, by an upstream ingress unit, a group of multi-channel parallel basic switch cells in which adjustment signaling is carried to all downstream branch egress units; sending normal signaling when determining that adjustment response statuses returned by all the downstream branch egress units are reception acknowledgment; after receiving the normal signaling by the downstream branch egress unit, adding or removing the basic switch cell into or from a next group of multi-channel parallel basic switch cells according to the adjustment signaling; and adjusting a time slot of an HO ODU sent by the downstream branch egress unit to a downstream node, and instructing the downstream node to adjust the time slot of the HO ODU. Through the method and the communication node, lossless bandwidth adjustment in a point-to-multipoint OTN asymmetric bandwidth carrier system is implemented.

Bandwidth adjusting method and communication node

A method and an apparatus for sending an Ethernet physical-layer OAM overhead, and a method and an apparatus for receiving an Ethernet physical-layer OAM overhead are disclosed herein. A method for sending an Ethernet physical-layer OAM overhead includes: adjusting the order of sending a payload block and part of Inter-Packet Gaps (IPGs) in a data stream to be transmitted; and when receiving a request for sending an OAM overhead, substituting the OAM overhead for the part of IPGs, and sending the OAM overhead before sending the payload block. Through the present invention, the order of sending IPGs and payload blocks in an MAC data stream can be adjusted, and the OAM overhead can be sent in time.

Method and apparatus for sending and receiving ethernet physical-layer OAM overhead

In the field of optical communications, a method and a device for adjusting transmission of transport network data are provided. The method includes the following steps. Information of adjusting a designated Optical Transport Network (OTN) line sent from an OTN is received. The OTN line corresponding to the information of adjusting the designated OTN line is adjusted. Changed data traffic of the adjusted OTN line is calculated. An Ethernet channel to be adjusted according to the changed data traffic is designated, and the Ethernet channel to be adjusted is adjusted correspondingly. The device includes a Link Capacity Adjustment Scheme (LCAS) module and a channel processing module. According to the method and the device, the adjustment of the OTN line is associated with the adjustment of the Ethernet channel, thereby ensuring the data transmission efficiency, and improving the overall performance of a network.
