Cellulosic packing materials, layers for the cellulosic packing materials, and panels therefor. The panels can be cushioning panels and, more specifically, cellulosic cushioning panels, such as cushioning panels formed from molded pulp or corrugated fiberboard sheets. The panels can be rigid panels and, more specifically, cellulosic rigid panels. The cellulosic cushioning panels can form cushioning layers, and the rigid panels can form rigid layers. Cushioning bocks and packing materials can be formed from the cushioning layers and rigid layers.

Packing material and method of manufacturing the packing material

A packing material including a plurality of discrete cushioning elements and methods for making the same. The discrete cushioning elements may be cellulosic cushioning elements. A flexible linkage may connect the plurality of discrete cushioning elements in the packing material. The packing material may also include a bottom cellulosic sheet connected to a top cellulosic sheet with the plurality of cellulosic cushioning elements positioned between the top cellulosic sheet and the bottom cellulosic sheet. The packing material may also be a molded packing material that includes bonds comprising adhesive and cellulosic fibers. The adhesive and cellulosic fibers of the bonds may be dispersed between the folds of each of the cellulosic cushioning elements.

A molded packing material and a method of making the molded packing material. The molded packing material includes a plurality of molded fiber cushioning elements. The molded packing may also include a matrix comprising cellulosic fibers bonding the plurality of molded fiber cushioning elements to each other. The plurality of molded fiber cushioning elements and matrix form a mass that has been molded into a shape having exterior surfaces and an interior with some of the plurality of molded fiber cushioning elements being on the exterior surfaces of the mass and the remainder of the plurality of molded fiber cushioning elements being in the interior of the mass. The molded packing material may also include a fiber shell having a cavity formed therein with the plurality of molded fiber cushioning elements located in the cavity.

The outer wall section has an outer surface formed thereon, and the inner wall section is formed of a plurality of segments. The convertible packaging material is convertible between a flat state and a tubular state. The cylindrical shipping box may include circumferential wall, a top cap, and a bottom cap. The circumferential wall is configurable in a flat configuration and a tubular configuration. The packaging material and the circumferential wall may include a plurality of triangular cells.

An umbrella including a support shaft, a plurality of ribs, a rotatable cam assembly, and a canopy. Each rib of the plurality of ribs has a proximal end portion and a distal end portion. The proximal end portion is pivotably attached to an upper portion of the support shaft to pivot the rib between an open position and a closed position. The rotatable cam assembly includes a cam configured to rotate about a longitudinal axis of the support shaft. The cam is engaged with each rib of the plurality of ribs such that (i) each rib moves in a direction from the closed position to the open position when the cam rotates in a first direction and (ii) each rib moves in a direction from the open position to the closed position when the cam rotates in a second direction, the second direction being opposite the first direction.

Seat for a bicycle including a frame and a cover. The frame includes a front portion, a rear portion, and a central portion between the front portion and the rear portion. The cover includes a seating panel and at least one side panel or at last one tensioning panel. The seating panel includes a seating surface facing an upward direction. The seating panel is supported by the front portion of the frame and the rear portion of the frame and spans from the front portion of the frame and the rear portion of the frame.

Apparatus, systems and methods are provided that include a repository for receipt of an object and a mechanism for shielding from view the object. The repository may take the form of a mailbox and the object may be a letter, e.g., a letter addressed to Santa. The shielding mechanism is actuated by a trigger that is associated with the repository and, in exemplary embodiments, is triggered by an activity normally associated with the repository, e.g., raising a flag on a mailbox. The trigger actuation may interact with an electronic control system, a mechanical control system, or a combination thereof.

An assembly has a base, a support, a cord, a main body, and a random movement article. The support has a first end and a second end, and the first end is attached to the base. The cord is attached to the second end of the support, and the main body is suspended from the support by the cord. The main body includes a fan configured to produce airflow in an airflow direction. The random movement article is secured to the main body and, when the fan is producing airflow, creates random movement of the main body.

An ornament of the present invention includes a display that is hidden behind a panel. An ornament body includes at least one panel which includes a two-way mirror and a display in the interior of the body. The ornament includes a light disposed in the ornament body which, when active, reveals the display which is otherwise hidden behind the two-way mirror. The light may be activated by a sensor that recognizes physical motion, and may also include a speaker to play music and a moving display element driven by a motor.

A method for controlling a plurality of light sources. Control signals corresponding to notes of a music file are generated to enable selected ones of a plurality of receptacles to be powered. The plurality of receptacles comprises a first plurality of receptacles and a second plurality of receptacles, and the first plurality of receptacles are powered more frequently than the second plurality of receptacles. The plurality of receptacles is adapted to supply power to the plurality of light sources. A pleasing twinkling effect can be created even if light sources are not coupled to one of the plurality of receptacles.
