A power transmission apparatus includes a shaft, a driving plate, a first driven plate, and a sensor device. The driving plate is disposed on the shaft and rotates with the shaft. The driving plate includes a first block that has a driving surface on it. The first driven plate is disposed on the shaft and capable of moving along the shaft. The first driven plate includes a second block that has a driven surface corresponding to the driving surface. The sensor device is disposed close to the first driven plate for detecting the movement of the first driven plate along the shaft. When the shaft rotates together with the driving plate, the driving surface compels the driven surface to rotate and simultaneously move away from the driving plate along the shaft, and the movement along the shaft is detected by the sensor device.

A keyswitch with force feedback function includes a vibrating source, a switching circuit and a controller. The vibrating source is connected to a cap of the keyswitch. The switching circuit is switched on according to states of the keyswitch. The controller is electrically connected to the vibrating source and the switching circuit. When the switching circuit is switched on, the controller outputs a first driving signal to the vibrating source, and the vibrating source transmits a pressing vibration to the cap of the keyswitch. A period of the first driving signal is smaller than or equal to a predetermined period, a user can feel vibration of the keyswitch due to the pressing vibration.

Keyswitch, keyboard and related force feedback method

In a key switch, a base is disposed under a keycap. A frame has a receiving space for accommodating the keycap, and the receiving space is defined with a first dimension, a second dimension and a third dimension, and any two of the first, second and third dimensions are perpendicular to each other. A guiding mechanism is disposed between the keycap and the base, and configured to guide the keycap in response to an external force exerted on the keycap to move in substantially parallel to the frame with a first displacement in the first dimension, a second displacement in the second dimension and a third displacement in the third dimension.

Self-guided key switch and keyboard configured with same

An input apparatus having a scrolling function includes a cursor key and a hot key. The cursor key is configured to selectively control a cursor movement on a screen and scroll data displayed on the screen. When the hot key is at a first status, in response to action of a user, the cursor key scrolls data displayed on the screen. When the hot key is at a second status, in response to action of the user, the cursor key controls the cursor movement on the screen. Methods for selectively providing a scrolling function on the input apparatus are also provided.
