The present application discloses a drying device and an electrode plate manufacturing apparatus. The drying device for drying a material comprises: a first oven section; a second oven section; and a third oven section, the first oven section, the second oven section and the third oven section being arranged sequentially in a movement direction of the material, wherein the second oven section has a larger air outlet area than the first oven section, and the first oven section has a larger air outlet area than the third oven section, such that the air speed of the first oven section is greater than that of the second oven section, and the air speed of the third oven section is greater than that of the first oven section. The solution provided by the present application can increase the production efficiency of batteries.

The electrode plate drying device includes an oven, a first deflector roll, and a second deflector roll. The oven is configured to dry an electrode plate. The first deflector roll and the second deflector roll are disposed in the oven. The electrode plate winds around the first deflector roll and the second deflector roll. Positions of the first deflector roll and/or the second deflector roll in the oven are tunable so as to adjust a movement distance of the electrode plate in the oven.

At least one positive active substance layer is provided with the barrier layer, at least a part of the barrier layer is intercalated in the positive active substance layer provided with the barrier layer, and coats at least a part of particles in the positive active substance layer.

A strip diverting mechanism includes a negative pressure unit and an air discharge unit. The negative pressure unit and the air discharge unit are arranged opposite each other, and a gap through which a strip passes is formed between the negative pressure unit and the air discharge unit. The negative pressure unit is configured to provide a suction force to the strip and the air discharge unit is configured to provide a repulsive force to the strip, to prevent the strip from contacting the negative pressure unit and the air discharge unit.
