Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for analyzing quality of user-generated content involve identifying interactions between users through an electronic network and assigning a weighting factor to each interaction representing a quality of the interaction. A user credential score is generated for each user based on the weighting factors for each interaction. The user credential scores are stored in association with a user identifier on a computer-readable storage device.

Ranking user generated web content

The present disclosure is directed to a system and method for posting questions from search queries. In some implementations, a method includes identifying a plurality of different questions previously searched. The previously-searched questions each include a word indicating a question. The previously-searched questions are filtered to remove one or more specified words included with the question word. At least a subset of the plurality of previously-searched questions that can be used to generate a canonical form after removing the one or more specified words are determined. The subset of previously-searched questions are ranked based, at least in part, on a frequency of submission of each previously-submitted search query in the subset. A particular one of the previously-submitted search queries in the subset is identified as representative of the subset of previously-submitted search queries based on the ranking.

Posting questions from search queries

Techniques include: identifying scalable parts and unscalable parts of image modules that are to be scaled to fit within a fixed dimension; determining scaling factors that are to be applied to the scalable parts of the image modules to scale the image modules; applying the scaling factors to the scalable parts of the images modules to produce scaled image modules that fit within the fixed dimension, where the unscalable parts are unaffected by the scaling factors; and generating data for displaying the scaled image modules on a computing device display screen.
