The present disclosure relates to a gastrointestinal delivery device of a chitosan dressing, where the delivery device is capable of stop bleeding, in particular in connection with TURP procedures. The delivery device may be used in all gastrointestinal bleeding applications and can be used with a biocompatible, foldable, thin profile, chitosan dressing. Various aspects of the device and its uses are provided herein.

Delivery systems for control of bleeding in transurethral prostatectomy

The present disclosure relates to a gastrointestinal delivery device of a dressing, where the delivery device is capable of fitting through a narrow channel before expanding and applying the dressing. The gastrointestinal delivery device may be used in all gastrointestinal bleeding applications and can be used with a biocompatible, foldable, thin profile, chitosan dressing. Various aspects of the device and its uses are provided herein.

Delivery systems for control of gastrointestinal bleeding

The present invention provides an absorbent wound dressing assembly that can be used to stanch, seal, or stabilize a site of tissue injury, tissue trauma, or tissue access. The wound dressing assembly is flexible so that it can be adapted and used to fit in narrow and small wound sites. Generally the wound dressing assembly comprises a flexible carrier material that is impregnated with a non-mammalian material for control of severe bleeding. The preferred non-mammalian material is poly [&#x3b2;-(1&#x2192;4)-2-amino-2-deoxy-D-glucopyranose] more commonly referred to as chitosan.

A mandrel is employed for shaping the stent graft, and means for irradiating the biomaterial effects sutureless bonding.

The bore permits fluid to pass through the insertable stent body. In use, the insertable stent body is introduced into the internal cavities of the tissues. The insertable stent body fits within the confines of, and in contact with, each of the adjacent tissues. Typically, at least a portion of the insertable stent body is fusible to the adjacent tissues for facilitating healing of these tissues.
