The processor circuitry is further configured to generate a message that includes the SSB index to enable the second AP to pre-configure downlink and uplink resources for the UE before the UE associates with the second AP. The interface circuitry is coupled to the processor circuitry and configured to communicate the message to the second AP.

The device includes a radio frequency (RF) interface and processing circuitry coupled to the RF interface. The processor circuitry measures a quality of the reference signal, and measures an evaluation time of the reference signal. The processor circuitry determines a first indicator of the radio link based on the quality of the reference signal, and determine a second indicator of the radio link based on the evaluation time of the reference signal. The processor circuitry then determines a status of a connection of the radio link based on the first indicator and the second indicator of the radio link, and generate a message based the status of the connection. The radio front end circuitry then transmits the message to the source device.
