An ambient light adjustment (ALA) apparatus, a method and a system therewith are proposed. The ALA apparatus includes a main body having a plurality of edges, one or more light sources, a light blocking layer and a controller. The light source is mounted on at least one edge of the ALA apparatus. The main body comprises at least one light guide plate. The light blocking layer is disposed over a surface of the main body. The controller is coupled to the light source and the light blocking layer. The ALA apparatus further comprises at least one sensor coupled to the controller. The controller controls the light characteristics of the light source and/or the light blockage levels of the light blocking layer to adjust ambient light characteristics, according to a sensed result by the sensor or sensors.

Ambient light adjustment apparatus, method and system

A system for clock and data recovery ('CDR') includes a clock generator, a half-rate phase detector for receiving the input data, an encoder, a phase selector outputting recovered clock, a confidence counter, and a multiplexer outputting recovered data. The clock generator generates an 8-phase clock signal at half a rate of the transmitted serial data. The phase detector samples input data at four times the standard sampling rate, takes the oversampled data and detects phase transitions therein, i.e., phase lead and lag. The encoder encodes the phase transition data. The confidence counter receives the phase transition data and generates a signal representing the accumulated net effect of the phase transitions. The phase selector receives the confidence counter signal and the 8-phase clock from the clock generator, and determines the optimum phase for data sampling.

High-speed serial link clock and data recovery

An immunoassay cartridge for sensing at least one analyte in a biological sample is disclosed. The immunoassay cartridge comprises a supporting plate, a reaction cavity made within the supporting plate and having at least one analyte-binding molecule immobilized therein, a sample receiving end connected to the reaction cavity to allow the biological sample to flow into the reaction cavity for forming at least one complex of the analyte and the analyte-binding molecule, a first package containing a recognizing molecule, a first channel communicating the first package and the reaction cavity to allow the recognizing molecule to flow into the reaction cavity for forming a first product of the complex and the complex-binding molecule, a second package containing a buffer solution and a second channel communicating the second package and the reaction cavity to allow the buffer solution to flow into the reaction cavity.
