For adjusting a signal transmission direction in a cable, which is configured to be electrically coupled between a first interface port and a second interface port, an electric characteristic on at least a first pin of the first interface port is detected. Then a signal transmission direction of at least one pair of differential signal transmission channels in the cable is controlled to change from a first direction to a second direction different from the first direction, provided that a communication protocol between the first interface port and the second interface port is changed from a first communication protocol to a second communication protocol, and the electric characteristic complies with a first condition.

Method and device for adjusting signal transmission direction in bidirectional ReDriver IC chip

A communication device includes a ground plane and an antenna element. The antenna element includes a radiation metal strip and a feed metal line. The radiation metal strip is divided into a first metal strip and a second metal strip by a gap. The first metal strip is electrically connected to the ground plane by a first metal section. The second metal strip is electrically connected to the ground plane by a second metal section. The feed metal line has a first to a third connection points. The first connection point is coupled to the first metal strip through a first capacitive element. The second connection point is coupled to the second metal strip through a second capacitive element. The third connection point is a feeding point of the antenna element. The second connection point is located between the first connection point and the third connection point.

Communication device with metal-frame half-loop antenna element

A communication device including a system circuit board and an antenna element is presented. A radiation metal strip of the antenna element does not lie on the same surface as the system circuit board. The radiation metal strip and a ground plane are separated by a clearance region. The radiation metal strip comprises a first metal strip, a second metal strip, and a coupling metal strip. A first end is located in the first metal strip and connected to the ground plane by a first inductive element. A second end is located in the second metal strip and connected to the ground plane by a second inductive element. A first gap is located between the coupling metal strip and the first metal strip. A second gap is located between the coupling metal strip and the second metal strip. The coupling metal strip is connected to a signal source.

Communication device with narrow-ground-clearance antenna element

A communication device includes a ground plane and an antenna element. The antenna element includes a radiation metal strip and a feed metal line. The feed metal line is disposed between the radiation metal strip and the ground plane. A first metal strip of the radiation metal strip has a first end electrically connected to the ground plane by a first metal section. A second metal strip of the radiation metal strip has a second end electrically connected to the ground plane by a second metal section. The first metal strip is coupled to a first connection point on the feed metal line through a first capacitive element. The second metal strip is coupled to a second connection point on the feed metal line through a second capacitive element. The feed metal line has a third connection point as a feeding point of the antenna element.

A communication device including a ground plane and an antenna element is provided. An edge of the ground plane is embedded with a notch, which has at least a first edge and a second edge. The antenna element, disposed at the notch, has at least a first operating frequency band and a second operating frequency band. The antenna element includes a first conductive portion and a second conductive portion. The first conductive portion has a starting terminal, electrically coupled to the first edge of the notch through a signal source, as a feeding terminal of the antenna element. A capacitive coupling portion is formed between an end terminal of the first conductive portion and the ground plane. The second conductive portion has a shorting terminal electrically coupled or connected to the second edge of the notch.

Communication device and method for designing antenna element thereof

A communication device includes a ground element and an antenna element. The antenna element is close to an edge of the ground element, and includes a first metal portion and a second metal portion. The first metal portion has a plurality of bends, and includes a first segment and a second segment. The first segment and the second segment are close to each other, and are substantially parallel to the edge of the ground element. The first segment is disposed at the outmost periphery of the antenna element from the edge of the ground element. The second segment is disposed between the first segment and the edge of the ground element, and has a shorted point coupled to the ground element. The second metal portion is disposed between the second segment and the edge of the ground element, and has a feeding point coupled to a signal source.

Communication device and antenna element therein

A communication device including a ground element and an antenna element is provided. The antenna element includes a metal element. The metal element has a plurality of bends and substantially forms a loop structure with a gap. The gap is between a first open end and a second open end of the metal element. The metal element extends along an edge of the ground element and does not overlap with the ground element. The antenna element has a feeding point. A first portion of the metal element is between the feeding point and the first open end, and a second portion of the metal element is between the feeding point and the second open end. The feeding point, the first open end, and the second open end are all facing or adjacent to the edge of the ground element.
