An electronic device with switchable modes includes a light scattering switching element, a light absorbing switching and an image generating element. The light absorbing switching element is disposed adjacent to the light scattering switching element. The image generating element is provided for generating an image. In a projection mode, the image generated by the image generating element sequentially passes through the light scattering switching element and the light absorbing switching element to be displayed.

Electronic device with switchable modes

An electronic device includes pixel regions and pixel spacing regions, and includes: a display layer disposed in the pixel regions and the pixel spacing regions, and including a liquid crystal material and a dye material; and reflective layers respectively disposed in the pixel regions, and at one side of the display layer. The display layer is in a scattering state under a non-display state, and light is scattered by the liquid crystal material and absorbed by the dye material when the light passes through the display layer. The display layer in the pixel regions is in a transmissive state and the display layer in the pixel spacing regions is in a scattering state under a display state, and light passes through the liquid crystal material and the dye material in the pixel regions and is reflected by the reflective layers when the light passes through the display layer.

Electronic device

An electronic device includes a scattering structure, a dimming structure and a controller. The dimming structure is arranged on the scattering structure. The controller is electrically connected to the dimming structure. The controller includes a first control unit, and the first control unit is provided to adjust the transmittance of the dimming structure.

An optical device includes: a first substrate; a second substrate disposed opposite to the first substrate; a first conductive layer disposed on the first substrate, wherein the first conductive layer includes a first surface and a third side surface connecting to the first surface; a second conductive layer disposed on the second substrate; a sealant disposed between the first conductive layer and the second conductive layer and having a first side and a second side opposite to the first side; a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first conductive layer and the second conductive layer and locating at the first side of the sealant; and a barrier layer disposed between the first conductive layer and the second conductive layer and locating at the second side of the sealant, wherein at least part of the first surface and the third side surface are not covered by the barrier layer.

Optical device

An electronic window is provided for adjusting light and includes a first panel, a second panel, and an intermediate layer. The first panel includes a first alignment layer. The second panel includes a second alignment layer. The intermediate layer is disposed between the first panel and the second panel. The angle of orientation of the first alignment layer is between 25 degrees and 65 degrees, and the angle of orientation of the second alignment layer is between 115 degrees and 155 degrees.

Electronic window and method for forming the same

A display panel is disclosed. The display panel includes a first substrate, a light shielding layer and a color block. The first substrate has a first surface with a first edge and a second edge, and the second edge is connected to the first edge. The second edge substantially extends along a first direction. The light shielding layer is disposed on the first surface and includes a plurality of openings. The color block closest to the second edge is disposed on the light shielding layer and extending along the first direction. The color block does not overlap the plurality of openings. Wherein the color block has a third edge which is closest to the second edge, and the third edge is not aligned evenly.

An antenna device includes a first dielectric substrate, a first radiator disposed on the first dielectric substrate, a second dielectric substrate disposed on the first radiator, a second radiator disposed between the first dielectric substrate and the second dielectric substrate, a main radiator, disposed on the second dielectric substrate, and a modulation structure located between a first radiation portion of the first radiator and a second radiation portion of the second radiator. The first radiation portion, the modulation structure, and the second radiation portion are located in a central area.

Antenna device

In a display panel, a light shielding layer includes first and second openings adjacent to a first edge of a first substrate. First and second color blocks adjacent to each other are disposed on the light shielding layer along a first direction. The first color block is injected into the first opening and overlaps partial of the light shielding layer. The second color block is injected into the second opening and overlaps partial of the light shielding layer. The first color block has a first overlap portion adjacent to the first edge on the light shielding layer, the second color block has a second overlap portion adjacent to the first edge on the light shielding layer, and the area of the first overlap portion and the area of the second overlap portion are different. A display medium layer is sandwiched between the first substrate and a second substrate.

A display panel and a display device are provided. The display panel includes a first substrate having a display region and a non-display region, a second substrate disposed opposite to the first substrate, at least a data line and at least a scan line disposed in the display region, a liquid crystal layer, a plurality of spacers and a seal disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate, a light shielding layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate, and including a light transmitting portion and a light shielding portion, and an alignment layer and a plurality of particles disposed on the light transmitting portion and the light shielding portion. A first surface roughness corresponding to the light transmitting portion of the non-display region is greater than a second surface roughness corresponding to the light shielding portion of the non-display region.

Display panel and display device

A liquid display panel is disclosed, which comprises: a first substrate; a second substrate; a first electrode and a second electrode disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate, wherein the first electrode and the second electrode have different electric potentials; a first alignment film disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode; and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate, wherein when a working frequency of the liquid crystal display panel is N Hz, ionic electric potentials of the liquid crystal layer and the first alignment film satisfy the following Equation (I):

A thin film transistor substrate is disclosed, which comprises: a substrate; and plural thin film transistor (TFT) units, an insulating layer, a pixel electrode and an alignment layer sequentially disposed thereon. The TFT units comprise a gate insulating layer, an active layer and source and drain electrodes; the insulating layer has contact vias to expose the drain electrodes of the TFT units; and the pixel electrode is disposed on the insulating layer and extents to the contact vias to electrically connect with the drain electrodes. Herein, a side wall of at least one of the contact vias has a first inclined portion at a first direction and a second inclined portion at a second direction, the first direction is different from the second direction, and an inclination of the pixel electrode on the first inclined portion is different from that on the second inclined portion.

Thin film transistor substrate

A display comprises a first substrate, a second substrate opposite to the first substrate, an electrode structure, and a light-emitting combination (LEC) layer positioned between the first and second substrates, wherein the LEC layer comprises a light emitting material and a LC material, and a horizontal or vertical electric field is generated when a voltage is applied to that electrode structure. One of exemplified displays has an electrode structure comprising a first electrode and a second electrode oppositely disposed, and the LEC layer is positioned between the first and second electrodes, wherein a vertical electric field is generated when a voltage is applied. The device can further comprise an electron injection layer and a hole transport layer. Another exemplified display has an electrode structure arranged on one side of the first substrate, and a horizontal electric field is generated when a voltage is applied.

Emissive display

A display device is provided. The display device includes a display panel. The display panel includes a first substrate, a second substrate, at least a data line, at least a scan line, a wiring area, a liquid crystal layer, an alignment layer, a plurality of spacers, a seal, and a plurality of agglomerate polymer particles formed on the alignment layer. The first substrate has at least a pixel area having a pixel, the data line and the scan line intersected for defining the pixel area. The liquid crystal layer, the alignment layer, and the spacers are disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. The wiring area is located outside the pixel area. The distribution density of the agglomerate polymer particles located corresponding to at least a portion of the wiring area is higher than the distribution density of those located corresponding to the pixel area.

Display device

A blue phase liquid crystal composition and a LC display using the composition. The liquid crystal composition includes a first class including a highly polar compound and a second class including a highly conjugated liquid crystal compound. The blue phase liquid crystal display device includes first and second substrates each with polarizer on the exterior surface and the blue phase liquid crystal composition sandwiched therebetween with and patterned electrodes on one of the substrates or both substrates. The patterned electrodes can be T-shaped, chevron or v-shaped, thin comb like shape and can also be flat or trapezoidal. The device outputs different light transmissions from the electrically controllable induced birefringence of the blue phase LC material for a low driving voltage, high transmittance blue phase liquid crystal display device.
